Posted July 9, 201311 yr well I wish I hadn't stayed up to watch that.. Chris Hatcher optioned back to AAA after the game. Can we do that with the entire offense too?
July 9, 201311 yr Yeah after Logan Morrison grounding into the double play and then Hatcher coming in. Pretty sure a 5 year old could tell the game was over. I dont think Hatcher has ever not given up a run. He is terrible. I hope that is his last call up.
July 9, 201311 yr wonder why 2 on no out in 13th and no bunt? Yeah damned if you and damned if you dont. Morrison has been swinging well but maybe a bunt should have been the call.

July 9, 201311 yr That was probably the worst display of offense I've seen all year. I realize we scored a run, but the ABs were terrible tonight. Chasing pitches out of the zone, popping pitches up, exhibiting absolutely no patience. Awful. I like Ozuna, but it just seems he never drives the ball. He takes hangers or pitches down the middle and does absolutely nothing with it. At least from what I've seen.

IMO, correct answer with damned if you do, and damned if you don't. 1.) You don't take the bat out of the hands of one of your current best hitters. 2.) I don't think he hits into many DPs. (Let the stats guys look that up) 3.) Because off the top of my head I don't remember him bunting before, maybe he just isn't very good at it. 4.) A long fly out should still put a man on 3rd with less than 2 outs with another of your better hitters coming to the plate. (Hech is on an 8 game hit streak, with 4 of those being multi hit games) I think it was the right call. Just didn't work out.
July 9, 201311 yr I think Hatcher was sent down because the fish need a pen arm more than Hatcher's performance. For some reason the FO likes Hatcher (probably because he has a lot saves) even though his decent milb ERA can be attributed to luck more than anything considering his WHIP is mid 1s and he has a ridiculously high BB rate

Cuz he sucked a fat one last night.
July 10, 201311 yr Hatch had a great year going in triple-A... Super nice guy, too. He was on my team for the Marlins Trivia night this year. He HATES this organization, btw. But a nice guy nonetheless.
July 11, 201311 yr Is it because the organization made him a pitcher? I believe he was all for that change.
