On the next email Tuesday can we let rich and Tommy know how much our offense sucks?

He knows.

Tommy Hutton @THUT14

Marlins with 9 Hits and 1 Run the last two games. 8 Singles and the only extra base hit and run provided by Fernandez!

It's the Solano/Adeiny love-fest that gets my goat.

edit: I love Rich and Tommy and I get they're marlins announcers so it's always look on the bright side, but still

At least we make up for it with great production from our 3B.

In all my solano/adeiny hating I forgot about our 3b situation.

Between ss, 2b and 3b what do we have this year, 5 hr?

Donovan Solano might be my least favorite Marlin of all time and its not really his fault. despite being awful and in no way belonging in a major league starting lineup (its debatable whether he belongs in the majors in any capacity), the front office seems to love him and I fear we are going to see him starting at 2b for many years to come

Only if Dietrich, Austin Barnes, and Avery Romero all suddenly got released would Solano be the starting second baseman for years to come.

The Solano hatred on here is ridiculous.

He should definitly not be a starter, but if you compare him to several players even in the last ten years or so that have been back up middle infielders the numbers are comparable.

Compare him to a Mike Mordecai or a Luis Sojo for instance and his numbers are very similar. In fact both those guys played over 10 years in the majors and had OPS of 650 and 665 respectively. Solano's two year OPS is 657.

Again, I'm not defending him or saying he should start, but this thing about how he's the worst player ever and he shouldnt be on a major league roster is also nonsense. I have no problem having him as a backup 2nd baseman.

I agree with you. He's a bench player in the big leagues.

Spike is the only person saying that stuff.
