9/11 Post Game

yeah I don't know that I particularly liked Redmond's attitude there, the kid is 21. You can say that the emotion got the best of him tonight & let him know that can't happen again, etc, etc, without totally dumping on the kid.

God I hate when baseball is old and crusty.

I'm disappointed at Red honestly. You're basically throwing your pitcher under the bus. For what? Being 21 and excited to hit his 1st homer.

I'm not saying he should defend what Jose did tonight by the way...

this was Jose's last start of the season, already an emotional guy probably even more so tonight, & then all the back & forth. Don't need to let the kid's season end getting sent to bed without dinner.

also F Chris Johnson.

Agreed. If chris Johnson doesn't get pegged tomorrow I ain't watching til Josés next start

He's managing a young team, part of his job is to teach them the right way to play the game. Sometimes the kid gloves have to come off.

yeah, you teach them in private, but then you fight like a mother hen for them against those from outside. You saw tonight, Jose wasn't the only one doing stupid shit out there. And again, the Braves players are not 21 year old rookies. What's their excuse for being assholes?

Redmond should have benched Fernandez's a** from the start, tbh.

You can do that in baseball. I wouldn't exactly be shocked to see:

a. the marlins get one in the ribs next time out.

b. Fernandez to get one in the ribs next time against the Braves.

Its kinda what happens. You cant just go around showing up other players in MLB. Perhaps its the Cuban background in him, as Puig does the same kind of stupid s***. Blame the Marlins to an extent for not telling/teaching him ahead of time what he should/shouldnt do.

Zero problems with this or anything else.

Braves have every right to be pissed.

Dashole, Fernandez already apologized and took responsibility for everything. He apologized personally to McCann and Minor. If I heard right, he also apologized to Chris Johnson.

If the Braves STILL hit one of us or hit Fernandez next season, then they're fucking stupid and classless.

Redmond should have benched Fernandez's a** from the start, tbh.

With all due respect, that's a lot of BS. With what moral ground can the Braves be upset at this when they did the same not once, but twice before Jose's HR.

Gattis stare on his HR and Chris Johnson bitching while running to first base is just as much cause to be upset as what Jose did, if you are inclined to be upset in the first place.

I saw only apologies coming from the Marlins side, and nothing but excuses and finger pointing high and mighty attitude coming from the Braves.

Redmond should have benched Fernandez's a** from the start, tbh.

Calling Bs. Chris Johnson started it.

This is the same braves team that threw a hissy fit causeof of hharper a few weeks ago.

Gattis also looked at his homer. Fuck the braves. Self righteous pigs. Enjoy your first round loss in the playoffs

So?

Its how you police things like this in baseball. Its been done for 100 years like this.

I don't like the way Redmond handled it. Or Gonzalez, who looked like a complete ass. McCann pulling him aside was the right thing to do and would have been simple had Johnson not acted like a lunatic.

Fernandez apologizing for it, and talking to McCann, Minor, and Johnson after the game shows you his respect. I think he just reacted the way any 21 year old rookie would naturally react.

I hate the Braves. I almost enjoy seeing them lose as much as I enjoy seeing us win

Also, Bobby Cox.

I really didn't have a problem with anything the entire game except Jose didn't need to pimp the homer and douche Chris Johnson was in butch/rage mode the entire game. No idea wtf that tool was doing.

Chris Johnson and the Braves misintrepreted Jose's reaction to the Gattis HR and it spiraled out of control. Jose pimping his HR was the last straw.

Gattis didnt really pimp his homer, he took a peek and went around the bases.

Fernandez flat out went into ultra Barry Bonds pose mode.

Big difference. Especially when its your first MLB homer.

Jose was shocked he hit it and super excited. He's a goddamn pitcher. Mccann was taking care of it. Johnsons pussy ass bitch run up was a dick move. Pig that fucker

MLB Tonight just called it like it is. Called it like what happened. the Braves started it and Jose finished it and they didn't like how it ended.

Bunch of punks.
