According to ESPN other teams made him better offers, he went with the Padres to be close to home. Interesting. Totally worth it for San Diego in my opinion. If he's healthy, he could have a great year pitching at Petco and in a weak division.

Well, that's something. Cerrone adds that the Brewers are willing to pay "a good chunk" of the $113 million remaining on Braun's contract to force a change of scenery in the aftermath of his PED suspension.
