June 5, 201412 yr Law has Kolek falling all the way to the Rox. That's a huge change. The Sox were considered a lock for him.
June 5, 201412 yr I would rather take a swift kick to the nuts with a steel toe boot than draft Rodon.

June 5, 201412 yr I would rather take a swift kick to the nuts with a steel toe boot than draft Rodon. Odd fetish
June 5, 201412 yr There was a report stating someone in the top 5 was gonna "switch gears". Have no idea what that means exactly
June 5, 201412 yr Nevermind there was talk the marlins were going off board with the second selection calling aaron nola because of money
June 5, 201412 yr Aaron Nola wants a lot of cash himself so we wouldn't be taking him to "save money". Jackson would be a save money pick.
June 5, 201412 yr Seriously, It better be Rodon.... once. Kolek should go to Houston.... seems liek a perfect match, and his favorite player can groom him a bit in Noln Ryan.
June 5, 201412 yr Even if Houston takes Rodon I'm happy with Kolek. I feel like Kolek is the Jonathan Gray of this draft and the high school equivalent of Gray ain't too bad. But Rodon is Rodon. Lazy mechanics at times, injury concerns, and money issues nonwithstanding, he's a great pitcher who despite what others say handled himself extremely well under intense scrutiny this year. He should probably be the #1 overall pick based on career pedigree alone, but I understand the Astros mindset since Rodon has a high combustibility as a prospect. But if Rodon reaches that ceiling that we all know he's capable of reaching...Rodon/Fernandez will be damn scary come 2016.
June 5, 201412 yr John Manuel (baseball America) is saying he's hearing a lot about Nola to the white sox.
June 5, 201412 yr John Manuel (baseball America) is saying he's hearing a lot about Nola to the white sox. Yea, that's the switch. They were reportedly "locked" on Kolek, but now I guess they want Nola. Barring something unforeseen, Rodon should be a Marlin.
