May 11, 201412 yr Not even upset we lost. Win today and you've split the series. On the road, that's pretty acceptable.
May 11, 201412 yr Tommy had enough of him the second he was signed. there was a tweet from him right when Marmol was signed. it's in the Marmol thread. Marmol This is one the mind numbing things off the bat, say what u will about how all of us knew Marmol was a bust at the end of the day we are still fans on the outside looking in. Now I know Tommy Hutton isn't like a FO guy but he's some one living baseball day in and day out as his career. If Tommy Hutton and the rest of major league baseball knows how bad Marmol is why is it that seemingly only our front office thought it was a good idea to sign him. Its like that saying don't cry over spilled milk... I've always used a better one , especially in my classroom.... Don't cry over milk that you knew was going to spill! Meaning accidents happen but when accidents happen because of obvious stupidity that was a tremendous bad idea from the start, u deserve it. Being stupid should hurt.

May 11, 201412 yr One thing people seem to forget in the Marmol hoopla is how bad Hand has pitched lately. The good thing is he is just in mop up duty, but at some point that needs to be addressed as well.

May 11, 201412 yr Hand is out of options. So are Dunn and Turner, but they aren't going anywhere. Hand is probably on a very short leash at this point, considering that they seem to be willing to cut bait on those who can't fish, so to speak. Maybe they'll trade him for a prospect, rather than DFA him if he continues to screw up. Who knows? At least they don't seem willing to wait around forever before getting rid of deadwood.

Meaning accidents happen but when accidents happen because of obvious stupidity that was a tremendous bad idea from the start, u deserve it. Being stupid should hurt. I think you're 1. Not giving enough credit to your common fan and 2. Giving way too much credit to organizations and former players for commonly known players like Marmol. Baseball is a very analytical sport. Also a very cut and dry, obvious sport.
May 11, 201412 yr true, id be happy if we just spilt it. But to be honest its like taking candy from a baby these padres, we should have taken 3 of 4 from these bums Meh. Padres are hitting the ball well lately. Would have loved to win the Fernandez start, but it was obvious he was under the weather. Again, a split, even against a not so great team is acceptable in my book.

The fact that he's out of options is why he is still here. But like we both said, he has to be on a short leash. Honestly, I doubt anyone claims him anyway.
May 11, 201412 yr 2014 Henry Rodriguez' stat @ Z's : 0-0, 3.26 ERA 12 games, 19.1ip 8h 8r 7er (1 homer & 23 walks allowed with 37 strikeouts) opp. avg : .123 whip : 1.60
May 11, 201412 yr A tons of K but bb/9 ratio is not good. All or Nothing style. I'm concerned about his whip no.
May 11, 201412 yr Wow like i said yesterday in the game thread we need to add some veteran bullpen arms to New Orleans if this is what we are bringing up in May. I can already tell you this will not go well. guy straight up can't throw strikes.
May 11, 201412 yr Author So we get rid of Marmol to bring up... Basically Marmol again. Bullpen guys HAVE to throw strikes. It doesn't matter how many guys you strike out if you're walking just as many.
May 11, 201412 yr A tons of K but bb/9 ratio is not good. All or Nothing style. I'm concerned about his whip no. High WHIP but low opponent batting average definitely describes all or nothing. Could load em up and K em all or load em up and get em all cleared.
May 11, 201412 yr Exact reaction. Hope it's Caminero. And I think it will be. Dude never got a true shot.
May 11, 201412 yr Well since going back Caminero has given up 8 runs in 4.2. Maybe that scared us away from him. Hatcher has been solid though and Jennings is fine for back of the pen. Really don't know what Hill is thinking.
