February 9, 201511 yr The Marlins like K-Rod, does K-Rod like the Marlins back? Click below for a special Valentine's Day article. (Just kidding about the Valentine's Day, but feel free to click anyway) http://therunnersports.com/2015/02/09/miami-marlins-interested-francisco-rodriguez/
February 9, 201511 yr I don't think he's necessary at all, but I wouldn't be against it. If they have the money to spend, I wouldn't mind it because I don't think the rotation is that strong now without Shields. A deeper bullpen wouldn't hurt.
February 9, 201511 yr with we would have done more with this rotation, and BIG GAME James seemed like the perfect fit, the more and more the offseason went into its later the stages the more secure I was that we would get him, and now that we didnt, I feel our priority should still be a rotational arm....COLE HAMELS?

We don't have enough to get Hamels. Ruben Amaro Jr. is a complete moron, but even he would look at our farm system and giggle.
February 9, 201511 yr Fine with me. It'll make trading Cishek all the easier at the deadline for a prospect or missing piece to make a run. We'd have a pretty sick outfield and bullpen. That's what wins rings right? Right?
February 10, 201511 yr Yay! a mediocre bullpen arm! I hope we don't make him our setup man. Capps is better than K-Rod right now, and cishek is of the most dominant closers in the league. Oh, and Cishek has gotten better each year. K-Rod was lucky last year and will be fine as the first or second guy out of the pen.
February 10, 201511 yr might aswell get him, if he performs, we can trade him in July, and get back either prospects or a starting pitcher.
February 10, 201511 yr Can't just sign people with the intention of trading them in July every time. Especially if we happen to be in the race.

February 11, 201511 yr Author How much would he cost? Probably around 2 mil. He just came off a one year, $3.2 million deal so I would think it would actually be a little closer to 3, 3 and a half.
February 18, 201511 yr Just heard ken rosenthal say on hot stove KRod is looking for 2/20, gtfouttahere!!!
February 18, 201511 yr Author Just heard ken rosenthal say on hot stove KRod is looking for 2/20, gtfouttahere!!! Yeah, that's some bullshit. Good luck, K-Rod...hopefully the Dodgers feel like they need you, otherwise that's not happening.
February 18, 201511 yr Good thing the Marlins have already said they don't need K Rod so there's no reason they'd overpay for him.
February 25, 201511 yr KRod's taking longer than LeBron to make a decision. Would he break the record of Shields long?
February 26, 201511 yr Do you think they'll go for Rafael Soriano now? I doubt they do anything. While they made a push for K Rod I got the impression they didn't think it was a necessity so I doubt they make a corresponding move.
