I know what you mean man, but you can only clean a house so many times before its permanently poisoned from all that bleach! Lol. Loria cleaning house again will destroy whatever future this team has.

Well unfortunately he's the permanent shitstain that doesn't get cleaned out. That is our only hope

Btw I was watching my game on my phone couldn't chat much during the game, but @pollyvonwog didn't you call a JT hr with Bour on base? You some sort of genius?

I did but to be fair I only made the prediction based on something negative Arpenschplat said about them hitting 4/5 in the lineup

Yeah, poor guy still believes in Morse too. But Arpens alright in my book.

Nothing wrong with Ichiro stealing & the slide was fine, he's been doing it for 20 years, took a perfect throw to get him.

Agreed.

that caught stealing is not our season

team doesn't hit HR's, 8 blown saves and Jose and Henderson have been gone.

thats our season

Prado probably needs to go.

lololololol lol lets trade Stanton and Gordon too.

Package deal!

Other than that Ichiro SB attempt, I thought the game managing was great. That Stanton SB seemed to be a missed sign by either him or JT, seemed more like Stanton after Butler was talking to him. After yesterday the fish were forced to put Cishek out there, he did decent, one mistake pitch (a slider that didn't slide) cost him. But I liked the poise he showed. And then after that Peralta hit he seemed a bit shell shocked. But once again, one side of the team shines and the other forgets to show up. Also noticed Goff and DJ were side by side the entire team. Before Red would be on the rail and Leary sitting on the bench. Just a little thing. Great start by Danny too.

Cishek did not do decent. He was all over the place. Only got out of the first inming thanks to a great play by Gordon. So again, he wasn't good tonight. The fact he was allowed to go back out there for a second inning was a huge mistake.

Other than that and stealing with a 40 year old, the managing wasn't horrible. Better than Red but that's not hard to do.

Well I did not see the game cause I was working late tonight. But I saw we went to xtra innings and Cishek lost the game again. Well isnt that the same page that Redmond use in the west coast when Cishek lost back to back games, Like I said I didnt saw the game but it looks like to me that he did exactly the same thing Cishek comes in and boom loses the game. Was it cause we didnt had anyone available in the bullpen.

No. I think he was just trying ti save the pen a bit by having each reliever go two frames. It worked for Dyson who was tossing well and had a strong first inning earning a second one. Cishek only got out of his first inning cuz of a great play by Gordon but he also got a second. In that inning he was all over the place and he paid for it.

But if he was lucky on the first inning why allowed him to pitch a second....Those are the same mistkes that Redmond did. Just my 2 cents.

Offense was asleep. Game was managed just fine.

The Ichiro steal call can be debated. Saying giving Cishek two innings is fine is wrong though.

Jennings said he would be aggressive, if Ichiro steals the base we call DJ a genius, it was a risk that just didn't work. It was fine to give it a shot, besides Baker probably wasn't gonna homer, if he doubles or gets a solid single then Ichiro scores from second and we win.

Cishek for two was questionable but it was extras and with him going two innings on Saturday and also the now obvious fact that Koehler was unavailable you can't blame Jennings for attempting one more inning with Cishek.

More importantly with the managing was that brilliant move to use Ramos in the top of the ninth. As some have said it was a fairly common move BUT Redmond wouldnt have done it. To me that was Jennings biggest move and the clearest sign that he'll do things different than Redmond did.

Not a bad debut despite the outcome .

Who else would've came in instead? It's shitty we don't have a go to guy. If Morris would've came in and blown it we'd half of us would be saying oh you should've kept Cishek in he did good the first inning and vice versa. Cishek should've pitched in Sunday's game when the game was out of reach, but hey, Red and his poor managerial skills are gone.

Redmond did that all the time.

I complete agree. The Marlins were swinging early in the count and had nothing to show for it. Ruby De La Rosa threw 9 innings. Had it not been for the Realmuto HR we are looking at another shut out loss.

This team needs a makeover.  First off, Yelich has been struggling this year obviously but if he is over his back spasms he needs to be in the 2 spot in the order.  Prado can not continue to be there he is a nice bat to have at the middle/end of the lineup but i can't stand him batting 2nd rather than yelich.  As someone with lower back problems Yelich's struggles are completely understandable, if he is over them he needs to be in the 2nd spot.  If he isn't over them then he needs to go back on the dl.

For the pitching i'd call up Wittgren, Urena and Nicolino and move Koehler to the pen, Hand to Japan, send one of our bench hitters down, and Cishek to the minors if thats allowed.  Then when Cosart comes back i'd try Urena out of the bullpen, he seems like he would be very effective out of the pen down the stretch and then stretch his arm back out as a starter next year.

Alvarez, Haren, Urena, Nicolino, Latos  and then eventually becoming Fernandez, Alvarez, Haren, Latos, Cosart/Nicolino looks a lot better and more effective than what we have now.  We would then have a bullpen of Ramos, Dyson, Urena, Phelps, Wittgren, Morris, Dunn, Koehler.  I'd rather have 13 pitchers and 12 hitters rather than vice versa because our 13th hitter is Solano and he hits like a pitcher to begin with.

Your quote about moving hand to Japan warrants me saying this to my father. Lol I so agree. Brad hand sucks.

He's the next guy to go.  I doubt he's on the team come June.  With Phelps and Koehler no longer needed in the rotation he's gone.  Im so over so many of these bullpen guys.  We've given the same group of guys way too long together in this bullpen.  I think Mike Dunn is absolutely awful and the epitome of what you don't want in a bullpen guy.  Doesnt throw strikes and has a high WHIP.

Bullpen arms aren't hard to find but it seems like each one we find either doesnt have control or always have high WHIPs.

I'd take Hand over Dunn any day of the week. Dunn makes me want to weep.

When everyone is fit our pitching is fine.

Our line up is not. You can't have an everyday line up in the NL with five number two hitters, nor can you have a bench with more than zero Solanos on it.
