October 25, 201510 yr Man good topic. grienke would be great and I voted for him. However my culture of losing mentality has him being injured in his time here. The most affordable to compliment Fernandez would be Zimmerman. He is very good.
October 25, 201510 yr Is contract irrelevant with this question? Obviously Grienke/Price are in a different class, but I'm posting on the reality that we have no chance to acquire those guys.

October 25, 201510 yr Assume the contract isn't an issue. Just who would you want the most In that case, my pick is David Price.
October 25, 201510 yr Author So the Marlins are polling their FA acquisitions now like they would the outfield walls?
October 25, 201510 yr Realistically Zimmermann, if money isn't an issue Greinke, in a fantasy land all four so that the "other" is Jose and our starting rotation is Jose Price Greinke Cueto & Zimmermann. ...so as far as the vote I'm clicking Greinke.
October 25, 201510 yr Author Realistically Zimmermann, if money isn't an issue Greinke It may surprise you but I asked a few people and they said money not being an issue, they prefer others to Greinke
October 25, 201510 yr Zimmermann would be the only one I feel the Marlins could realistically afford and would actually sign with the Marlins, maybe Cueto but I wouldn't really want him. Greinke and Price aren't coming here don't even delude yourself to think that could happen.
October 25, 201510 yr My pick was Price. Braves, Phillies, and Mets... has been had certain lefty hitters in their lineup, so if we try to get PS, we should need some quality LHP.
October 25, 201510 yr Even if money isn't a factor? Price tenses up in big games. Grienke cant go deep into any games and is 32 at the back end of his prime, like once he gets through 7 thats it for him. Zimmermann is a good 2 years younger. Grienke would be a close 2nd, however, but the 2 years younger in age is HUGE as far as I'm concerned.
