If we had a good or at least more reliable bullpen that just happened to blow a game or two then the 1-3 record wouldn't bother me as much because we would be feel confident that we can come back from that. But this bullpen isn't improving so this record is gonna be commonplace. So thus the bullpen is a bigger problem than the record, that's what I meant. Saying we could be 3-1 if it wasn't for the pen is the same concept as what I said.

McGowan has been pretty sharp so far and his stuff looks pretty good.  The only new guy that doesn't scare the hell out of me whenever he walks out of the pen.

 

 

Didn't the Cardinals start 1-3 also? Are their fans worried about that record like ours are? That's my point on the record, its more than just the 1-3 start. Ok I'm done but that one illustrates my point.

 

 

Yea the bullpen sucks. But werths hit was a lucky bloop that happens in baseball sometimes. Without that this game could still be tied. Our hitting in two of the four games this year has been awful. And we haven't even faced a true ace pitcher yet.
