The new slide rule is terrible. Especially calling someone out when there was no way imaginable that the fielder would be able to throw out the runner at first. 

 

Wouldn't have happened if Rasmus just slid into the bag instead of the player. (Though I agree, there should be more leeway for the umpire in that case).

and we all know Dee puts in work too, it's not like he's some lazy Mofo' who just tries to get by on talent.  Not sure what it will take to teach him how to steal bases at this point.  I will always fondly remember Bonifacio's delayed steal that he had down to perfection.  Any other time in baseball you'd almost NEVER see that but i swear that dude would get at least 2 a week in that fashion.
