June 4, 201610 yr I was glad when done was NOT on the roster. This just proves he's gotta go. Stanton is just frustrated and losing it. He really needs to step back and relax. Sent from my SM-G900T using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app
June 4, 201610 yr I don't think making Stanton pissed is the solution. He's not doing this on purpose. He needs coaching, not a spanking. "i don't think your performing well. we are going to sit you for the next 2 games. be ready for Tuesday night." be firm, Donnie.
June 4, 201610 yr Stanton isn't making any worthwhile contact. His first step should be to talk to Hech, who can teach him how to ground out.

June 4, 201610 yr I believe Stanton will rise again. We seriously need lefty and righty arm in pen. A setup guy ahead of Phelps and lefty, even loogy will be ok.
June 4, 201610 yr I believe Stanton will rise again. This will be around the time the Fish are eliminated from playoff contention. Which at this rate will be around September 22nd.

June 4, 201610 yr if he cant handle thor, wait till he gets a load of colon. Doesn't colon get a load? Sent from my SM-G900T using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app
June 4, 201610 yr This is major doom and gloom thread when we just lost to one of the best pitchers in baseball. It's ok. Let's win today.
June 4, 201610 yr Stanton has actually taken more pitches since coming back. The problem is when he gets 2 strikes he is still striking out. Pitches are challenging him to hit it and he is either late on it or way off. The guy is really struggling and you feel bad for him. Hitting .209 now. He does hit Colon very well in his career but he also hit Niese as well when facing him in his career. Yesterday would have been nice to get a win but today is a bigger game because at least on paper tomorrow is a win for us. Sent from my iPhone using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app

June 4, 201610 yr This is major doom and gloom thread when we just lost to one of the best pitchers in baseball. It's ok. Let's win today. Yeah but we had chances to win. It wasn't a blowout, Thor was good but not unbeatable. It's not that we lost its how we lost.
June 4, 201610 yr there were those two horseshit calls for strikes against stanton in his first two ab's and i think that clearly frustrated him into swinging at garbage again. I agree he "looks" like he's trying to be more patient but then clearly gets frustrated when a call doesn't go his way and he reverts into swinging at shit low and away and missing the ball by a good foot or more. I find it bizarre that clearly Ozuna has taken to Bonds' patient approach but Stanton just can't seem to get the hang of it. Sad, because aside from that 2-3 week stretch where he tore it up (which strangely coincided with the Fish scoring in bunches and winning most of their games) Stanton has been garbage this year - moreso than usual in terms of extended slumps. I'm 100% in favor of moving him down in the lineup right now because he's pretty damn close to an automatic out if any of the people in front of him get on.
June 4, 201610 yr I wonder if the injury-shorten seasons the past few years have stunted Stanton's growth slightly and the ability to recognize pitches. Sent from my iPhone using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app
