June 28, 201610 yr Lowell's 2005 defense (when he couldn't hit) was pretty special. That said, these first couple months by Prado have been comparable. After Arenado, he's been the best. Yelich and Stanton lock up 2 OF spots for years to come, and despite our thin farm system, OF is our strongest position. We could also sign a cheap veteran for a year to play OF, or get one back in the Ozuna deal. It's a shame, because Ozuna is a superstar, but it's the reality of our franchise. July 22, 201610 yr • The Marlins haven’t approached impending free agent Martin Prado about a new contract and could delay that decision until the offseason, knowing they have three legitimate starters to play second and third (Dee Gordon, Derek Dietrich, Prado). July 22, 201610 yr Yeah the re-signing of Ichiro happened quickly. I can definitely agree with that. Actually I hope this marriage continues between Ichy and the Marlins if Ichy wants to play. It adds class, respectability to the team I think. Now don't ruin it Loria and give Ichy some butt ugly, gaudy jewelry when Ichy reaches 3k. Whatever it is let it be classy as Ichy is and nothing something as clownish as what Hanley got.
