Craig Mish reports they are discussing 2-3 year extension. Not sure what this means for Dietrich or Gordon.

Good, the team loves him and he performs. Why not extend him?

Sure but I'm personally pretty concerned with his career high GB rate. Usually denotes decline and all that (has a had a very nice June tho). defense still nice

While you have a point about his decline and all, I am personally more impressed with the positive direction this organization is starting to trend.

- extended Stanton

- extended Yelich

- extended Gordon

- talking Prado extension

They're obviously not the Yankees or Red Sox, but it's a long way away from the cheapskate mentality they used to live by. They are finally operating like a real organization. It's great.

Stanton - injury to hand, big slump

Gordon - heroin

yelich - back issues

just proceed with cautions with these extensions, etc.

Why not, but what we really should be doing is looking at giving Ozuna a nice contract.

they offered him a really nice one before 2015 that he & Boras refused so who knows. How big is that extra year of arb though?

Boras is not gonna let him take a team-friendly deal

Yes,I expect this day for long time, and when would we try to lock up Big Bear again ?

Boras is not gonna let him take a team-friendly deal

So I hope we give him a agent-friendly deal.

No point in signing him long term before FA if we don't save money by doing it

Just kidding, but really need to try to lock up both Boras' clients for our long term success in the future.

No one's concerned that this is coming from Craig Mish? The only person less reliable than him is the Seattle-loving@pollyvonwog

But really, I see no reason Prado wouldn't accept this. If the deal is fair I'm pretty certain he takes it. He seems to love this team as much as they love him.

You'd rather we don't sign these guys and just let them leave us after three seasons?

Just so you know, it's a different extension than the one you need.

Omg awesome. Something something burnt sienna crayon haha

I agree that 2 years is best because eventually we will see Prado on the decline. That said he is a great professional and a good influence for our young players. I would be happy to have him back.
