July 29, 20169 yr They've pushed me over the edge. Really hope they get swept See, I'm not gonna go this far. It's not the players' faults.
July 29, 20169 yr I am still a Marlins fan, but really mad at the front office. This. And again, I'm not gonna root against these players. They are a great group of guys and have nothing to do with the decision-making.
July 29, 20169 yr I am still a Marlins fan, but really mad at the front office. The Marlins could literally trade every player and you'd still be a fan Sent from my iPhone using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app

July 29, 20169 yr While I don't like this deal, I truly believe this is setting up something else. I wonder if they are working on a big cash eating deal with the Yankees. I don't know what we would give up but getting some combo of Arod, CC, and/or Teixeira paired with Pineda is what I am thinking. I would be ok with something like this because the expensive vets all have playoff experience . I just saw Rosenthal said the Nats would be interested in a Miller for Giolito trade straight up so I think the Yanks may be gearing up for full sell off. I don't know though.

The only way they were getting Pineda is if they included Capps. The package they just traded probably could have gotten them Pineda. Again, unless other teams around the league were wary of Capps' physicals, this was just hilarious.
July 29, 20169 yr There's nothing else coming. Chen got injured (means he's taking player option) and loria went full loria and said sure go for the win, but not on my dime, as usual
July 29, 20169 yr Pretty ironic that the Padres traded us their closer and then came back to us a couple of weeks later and made another trade with us that resulted in them getting a much better, much younger closer.

I may be way off but that the beauty of it. One of us will be right and one will be less an so.
July 29, 20169 yr They took money so they could eat shields contract. I mean, this would be cool, but who are we sending Chicago's way to land Shields? They aren't just gonna give him away for nothing.
July 29, 20169 yr They took money so they could eat shields contract. Ha! Which is comical because the was on the Padres originally as well!
