Jose Fernandez dies in boating accident

Featured Replies

Am I the only one a little annoyed that teams are hanging their own Jose jerseys in their dugout?

I get that this tragedy is felt league wide, but fuck you he was ours.

At first I found it weird but then I realized today Jose is on every team. If that's how those players wanna honor him I like it. I'd be upset if other teams sold jerseys of him though.

when you bring up Jose's player profile on the website and you see his status showing "Deceased" its unreal. i cant really explain it.

These guys have boated this route many times before. Why now crash into the jetti?.I wouldn't be surprised if the driver was on something, or something mechanical with the boat steering.

Accidents happen even if you know the route you're on

I dont know if anyone knows this, but it seems that the Miami marlins are evil, and last nights boat crash was some kind of sign of the times event. There is a youtube poster, (not going to name him) who tends to think that every event that happens is some kind of sign of the coming end times,.Im seeing videos  uploaded all over youtube insinuating that the accident was caused by the illuminati and that the Marlins are apart of the bigger picture when it comes to end times. I cant believe how many idiots are in this world.

Rest in Peace to the two of them, as well.

There's picture on the boat owner's Instagram of them all hanging out on the boat. He posted a lot of pics of them together on it.

Other than the on-field memories of Jose, I had a nice conversation about him with Jeffrey Loria on the street in the centre of Chicago back in August. It was the day of Jose's start at Wrigley and I remember Loria saying as long as Jose was focused, every start had the potential to be special.

Uhh. And Conley couldn't have come off the DL tomorrow instead why?

Seems like FO wanted to goose up attendance tomorrow to me.

Like I said in the post above, they wanted an extra day for him due to the 8 IP.

he was actually scratched to give him an extra day of rest. I think that's the reason he was on the boat last night

Actually, it was give them a shot at the playoffs by matching him up against the mets. But yeah, had he been pitching rusty he would not have been on the boat.

Blaming someone for this tragic accident is not right. RIPJose

Not now. This isn't the time.
