And to be fair Hernandez pitched in single A before making his debut, and Elieser doesn't have near the numbers. lol Only cause the fish had to have him in MLB due to taking him in the Rule 5 draft. Otherwise he'd be in the minors this season. There is no reason to call up Jordan Yamamoto. High-A is still Single-A.

High-A is still Single-A. I know. I was just sifting through our minor leagues, and besides Pablo ( who hasn't shown to be an asset yet in triple A). Yomamoto is the other dominating prospect. There is not reason he should be repeating High A. Back to the problem at hand. Do we trust Gallen. Or do we trust stuff aka Alcantara. You could even justify giving Ben Meyer starts. Lopez I think needs a few more in triple a.

He has been good as a starter, and unlike Richards (whom I also really like), Meyer has the physical tools. He has a plus fastball. HIs triple A numbers aren't uninteresting. And best of all he is in the show. He has been used 3 times while he has been up. Wasting him in the show. Give him a start! For context he was better than Alcantara in TRIPLE A! If we are going to build a team you have to give guys like him a shot.

I think that is why he has been kept in triple A. Last year he as a better starter, and had numbers Alcantara wishes he had. For me he was the only sure thing in the trade with St. Louis. "Third-round picks don’t typically reach Triple-A in their first full pro season, but Gallen made four starts there in 2017. He’s advanced in several capacities. He’s poised, athletic, has four pitches, and demonstrates viable, upper-level command. His fastball sits 90-92 but will touch 95. His cutter, breaking ball, and changeup, meanwhile, all have average potential. He projects as a fifth starter with a chance to be more than that if he develops superlative command. It is of course possible they go to him for a spot start but the fact he was called up on a day we don't need a SP shows he is being put in the pen for now. He was in the pen last time up as well.
