The mural besides the logo is really there, they've shown on twitter them doing it. And that logo leaked previously. But I do not believe the logo is actually painted there currently.

I would think they'd tell the artist "leave this space for the logo" or something, and not give the artist the logo yet if they truly wanted to keep it a secret.

Yeah and I believe this twitter user photoshopped the logo into it, since that logo leaked previously. Besides the fact, it'd be stupid of the Marlins to do this -- it looks fake to me.

 

I believe the logo would go there after the reveal day, I don't believe it is currently there.

It’s been pointed out that the underside of the marlin is a dark grey.  Perhaps that is an option for their road grey.  Arizona uses a darker than normal shade 

 

 

I know they can edit it to look like this, but just pointing some things out in comparing the two:

 

1. The blue is a diff blue

 

2. You can see texture in the color (esp in the red outline around Miami)

 

3. Look at the blue outline around the marlin.. not a defined line.. looks like they painted as a faded outline

 

4. The red thread lines on the basball.. look as the lines go down.. those are definitely not defined as they get smaller.. very different from the digital image

 

5. The red is definitely a different red

 

6. Look at the inner tip of the fin (on the marlin body).. The very tip is silver. There is no extra shading there on the digital image.

 

If you're painting something like this that's very....."vector based" (meaning hard edge lines, no big color transitions, etc), the lines would not be blurred as they are.

IF they did give the artists the logo ahead of time to incorporate into their designs, I'd also imagine they made the artists sign something that says they can't paint/show the logo before 11/15.

 

 

My eye isn’t good for this sort of thing but it looks so obviously photoshopped.  Of course someone could just drive to 12855 Pinecrest pkwy and verify

On the caps the underside of the marlin, and his mouth, is silver.

 

Dear God they better not use that dark grey bullshit. I hate it. It's too dark and looks almost all black during games especially day games.

I thought this too at first glance, but then as Thrillho said, the material for the white part is more like the jersey material.
