May 14, 20197 yr "failed to understand that accountability is only really accountability when it applies to everyone" the bulk of that article was just obnoxious to read, mostly because the author enjoys using every word from his kid's SAT study guide, but the last line above does indeed ring true. It was written in reference to Denbo and Jeter and their reputation for being unwilling to really listen to the opinions of others but preach accountability.

May 16, 20197 yr Whether the trades work out (the big ones) remain to be seen. But Jeter and Co have done a fucking shitty terrible job PR wise. Its on Loria like levels how thats gone tbh. They have also made some horrendous gaffs business wise (the A ball affiliation move the biggest probably), so there are valid points made in this little write up, but its just awfully written. I guess its easy to be a writer these days. So in summation. Some really bad moves. Some moves that are TBD. (though Mags looks like trash, Brinson looks like trash, Sandy is the inconsistent pitcher he was always thought he was; so the secondary wave better be a lot better)

May 17, 20197 yr Author They're clearly tanking. Getting the first or second pick in the 2020 draft is clearly the goal. Once you accept that you'll have no problem realizing why this team sucks and why they didn't keep guys like Straily and Dietrich and Bour etc etc. They never wanted this team to be very good. If this is part of the plan then fine, let's do it and do it right. Picking first can be a world of difference from picking 6th or 7th... Let's do it, #1 draft pick here we come.
