Posted September 13, 20204 yr DOUBLE HEADER SWEEP! Sixto a shortened complete game in game 1. Braxton Garrett with a good debut in game 2. The bats did what they needed in the second game. We win this series with a chance to make it five wins in this set tomorrow before Boston comes into town. WE'RE IN SECOND PLACE BOYS!
September 13, 20204 yr So the Marlins pick up: 2 games on the Phillies, 1/2 a game on the Braves, 1 1/2 games on the Brewers, 1 1/2 games on the Rockies, 1 1/2 games on the Mets, and at least 1 game on the Giants. Fantastic day!
September 13, 20204 yr As I was saying after the loss last night, within 24 hours the whole picture could look a whole lot different.. Marlins did a great job today.. I saw them playing with a lot of energy and fun out there, reminds me of earlier in the season. Hopefully they keep it up!

Five swings and misses on his curve today, far and away the highest of his pitches. Mixed in the slider and change beautifully as well when needed. Could have been nerves and just trying to stay composed causing a drop in velocity? It worked for us today.

I know he had TJ but normally TJ guys gain velocity. Maybe he was timid, who knows.

September 13, 20204 yr I would like to see Neidert start tomorrow. Lopez is projected to start and the Phillies have already had a good look at him. Plus if Neidert were to start, Lopez would face Boston for the first time.
September 13, 20204 yr Braxton looked good! Can't wait to see Urena on the mound again instead of him!

September 14, 20204 yr Ah! So this is why I haven't seen any of them Zac Gallen acolytes wandering these parts lately? Shame. I miss those fellas.
