Yeah this is a great point. Doesn't sound like they're actually discussing or negotiating anything. They're just meeting every five days to give each other the middle finger and then leave. This is reminding me of that video of the two guys on opposite islands just cursing at each other for no reason.

Agreed.  Not entirely surprising that it takes an actual threat of the season delaying to get some movement, but it all could've been avoided if they'd just talk to each other this whole time.
