If you look at our Pythagorean and the number of one run losses it it obviously beyond time to move on from mattingly.

It is also obvious that this team is not ready to be a serious contender with the bullpen weaknesses and the lack of difference making bats.

Maddon or gurardi is available. Bring them in and start a three year project. Lock up the young talent, jettison the over the hill gang, basically anyone over 30, and play the kids.  All of them. 

We will suffer in the short term but they will get better year by year and watching them grow into contenders will slowly boost the attendance. 

Then we have low minor depth that will replenish once the core goes past their peak.

 

The entire bullpen needs to go and guys in like nardi, Garrett, neidert, elieser, Simpson, Meyer, eury (yes eury), etc. Should be given carte blanche to go out and throw with a three year leash. 

Sandy, Pablo, Trevor, Eddie, and either max/Jesus l/or eury, throw every five days. 

Add in sixto, eder, poteet, soriano, and I'm sure others on forgetting and you have a young controllable team w short term pain but long term high ceiling.

Put Sanchez, bleday, burdock, and jerar in the of and rotate them. Sell avisail and soler for whatever prospect we can get.

Trade Aguilar and Cooper, give lewin, jerar or Johnston a first base glove.

Get rid of Anderson, Wendie, Rojas and play a prospect we traded for, devers, Chisholm, and whoever else. 

Say goodbye to stallings, and hand the reins to fortes, Henry. 

I'm a couple years guys like salsa, Lewis,d and any trade haul will be ready.

Well lose 100 games instead of 90 for two years, but throw in three premium draft picks and boom 2025 world series champs.

 

Or we tread water 💦 n a sea of mediocrity.

The choice is ours.

Pass on that. Zero reason to blow this team up entirely. The choices they need to make are clear and it's not all of that.
