We're not better off now tho. Let's assume that the Stanton, Yelich, and Ozuna trades were equal and fair for both teams at the time, when taking their salaries into account of course. Yelich GREATLY improved and the and the Milwaukee prospects GREATLY regressed. Stanton slightly regressed and his prospects are still meh (and Castro has no value). Ozuna regressed but the top two prospects, especially Sierra, were not very good.We've lost all three trades so far, and none of us would make these trades again if we knew what we know now. Any progress the organization has made has been independent of the trades we've made.

It's going to be horrible, but we really need at least 2 of those SPs to take the next step, and you HAVE to hit on the JT trade or else this team won't compete for the forseeable future.

The arbitrary 5 year window is when you'd expect a team to be competing for championships if everything went well. You should be able to tell 2-3 years in though whether the rebuilding is any good. Red flags: no elite prospects, almost all valuable trade assets are gone, top prospects aren't performing, you have the same gm as before, your head of baseball ops has no track record.

We'll probably have a better read of the situation in 2027.

Morrison was a great prospect that we were justifiably excited about and we have no one like him, thats my point. Hermida works too. If we can't get an exciting prospect after trading everyone good on our team (whether it's jeters fault or not) then why on earth would anyone think the rebuild is going well?

We've traded Stanton, Yelich, Ozuna, Gordon, Bour, Phelps, and Ramos and not one of the guys we've gotten back are as exciting as Jose, Stanton, Yelich, and Morrison were in the minors. Negativity police don't want to hear this. @Erick tells the truth. It's the only thing he knows how to do.

Chavis had 3 disappointing seasons, had an amazing breakout season last year, and then was busted for roids. Sketchy, Groome is all projection, hasn't had any minor league success yet and just had Tommy John. Neither of these guys should be the only piece coming back for Steckenrider.
