Probably nothing new here, but I found it interesting as I rarely get to hear the guy speak Basically started by talking about how difficult rain delays can be on the team as far as managing the team and how they are excited about how the new stadium will kind of take away those possibilities even mentioned how he was disapointed in the rain as it cut short nick johnsons rehab work today in jupiter confirmed that they really wanted penny, but he obviously chose the giants and he understands that - he also talked about some of the other waiver wire activity that other teams made said that his phones weren't as hot as they were at the non-waiver deadline, but he had a couple lines out there and just didn't feel any of them made sense when you factored in economics, long term potential, upgrade impact, etc confirmed that both stanton and dominguez will be playing in the AZFL and that Bo Porter will be manager of the Mesa Solar Sox - which stinks for me, I wish they'd go back to the affiliation with Peoria as it's much closer, but i'll still catch them when they come out west - he went through a couple other names, that I can't recall right now said he was disapointed that NO didn't get more wins in AAA, but it's understandable as they kept toggling the roster there stated that he was happy with jacksonville and is looking forward to watching them in the playoffs - he expects good things from them because he feels they are stacked with some of the top level prospects also stated that he doesn't make september callups just to make callups - every guy should have a role, be it freeing up baker/paulino to pinch hit if needed, give guys rest, etc also stated that he was disapointed in how maybin started the year in the bigs and thinks he can show somethign in this callup stating that "each guy has their own timeline" ...... stated there was no need to bring him up due to coghlan really playing well, cody did well in center and hermida did alright he didn't seem to be super excited about hermida and kind of stumbled a little bit when speaking of him was very pleased with coghlan and how he has also learned from guys like wes helms on how to be a professional

plus the SF stadium is closer to more high quality restaurants......... he would of been a decent addition, but not a reliable or consistent one

i'm not completely down on hermida, but he did have a pretty bad game last night misplaying that ball led to a run then with the bases loaded and 1 out he struck out, which aside from the obvious probably led to the marlins going to the bullpen an inning earlier than they needed to it all worked out in the end, but he's under a bit of a microscope and given the teams problems this year with guys on 3rd not scoring with under 2 outs it's easy to see how people would get frustrated this team has to be near the bottom of the league in sac flys

i was an upstate NY fan at the inception - was pretty much me and this other kid in school actually grew up near G-Money - followed them since the expansion and used to go watch the short season a affiliate in the NY Penn League (elmira pioneers) when they switched from the red sox to the marlins continued to follow them in college in philadelphia and other locations I've lived (DE, london, denver, mpls) and continue to follow the fish out here in phoenix they won their first WS my freshman year of college and their 2nd shortly after I moved to AZ

i never had prescription sunglasses, but i used to break my regular ones more than I'd want to admit when I was down in FL this past spring I left my mp3 player in the rental car ..... noticed it like 30 minutes later and called in ...... got the company line of "the car has already been rented out again and nothing has come up in lost and found" - my own fault, but frustrating none the less i've also somehow lost 2 pair of regular sunglasses which I think are both in someone elses possession now, although I can never confirm it

yuengling would of been a great choice however, I can't fault him for going with the most consumed brand in the nation and the brand that has the highest production/distribution in this nation besides, if you wanted to get funny he could say he bought it out here in AZ where McCains wife has made a fortune distributing the stuff

you are probably out of luck, police report or not in fact, i'm not sure what a police report would accomplish - just write it off a sunk cost if you have a low enough deductible on your insurance (if you have insurance) it could be beneficial, but most start at like $500 on such items ....... best bet would be to check with your policy and see what you need to do by contacting your insurance agent / service line definitely sucks though ..... i've lost / had stolen my fair share of things and thieves are worthless people

no concern over the recent HRs and runs allowed since the break? i really like nunez (as I think many others do as well) - I guess he's not really walking people and he seems to be breaking out of it so I'm willing to ride with him for a while as well all up I'm a lot happier with the bullpen options than I was a month ago

I can't see them trading stanton ...... the guy is such a high level prospect i believe the marlins intend on using him for a couple years at a lower cost i think they're banking on getting early contributions on the miggy/hanley level from when they came up and at the same time not having to sink immediate financial resources into him

was funny listening to d'back fans starting to yell "no - not again" when they got up 7-0 other than that the bright spots were a pretty friendly crowd and a ton of marlins fans in the building haren just had it going only thing that seemed a little off to me was the strike zone on pitches low and seemingly off the plate to the 1st base side ....... the ump was consistent with it, but haren did a much better job of finding that spot weird performance for nolasco ...... he'd get up 0-2 and then get hit hard he did a good job at getting ahead of batters, wasn't walking anyone, but just had a lot of pitches launched either right back at them or over the fence ........ i think the haren RBI infield single kind of deflated them a bit as well oh well ...... moving on i'm not going to be able to go to either of the next 2, but will record and watch ..... tommorrow is a real tossup - i have no idea what to expect

glad I get to see hanley tonight will be a tough game for sure ..... hopefully nolasco has his good stuff

he also did a good job with managing the pitchers throughout the game, from the quick hook to miller, to recovering after badenhop got hurt and even had some fortune getting an extra inning out of sanches ...... he was set to PH gonzalez if the spot came up, however they went down in order and the pitchers spot never came around so now sanches goes out and pitches well in the 6th, his spot is the leadoff in the 7th and gonzalez gets a pinch hit opportunity at that point and scores

just getting back in - was sitting next to a guy in a dolphins jersey, so that was pretty cool ...... a lot of depressed d'back fans after this one just an all around crazy game from the marlins giving up 4 unearned runs, badenhop taking that comebacker, loading up the bases with none out to get no runs and then the big burst in the 8th where the d'backs had a couple opportunities to get out of the inning, to boyer somehow giving up ground ball single after ground ball single ......... then in the 8th dan meyer comes in and wants to start throwing balls and the d'backs load them up with no one out to come up empty just a crazy game will make going to tommorrow nights game a bit easier that's for sure ....... need a steady performance from nolasco as haren is always tough

Dude, im physically disabled at 29, and if they talked about my Mom, I would have kicked their ass. I would have wrapped my cane around their head. Then again I did whack a few Mets fans in the leg at the last game here, because they were drunk and almost knocked me down lol. Mets and Giants fans must come from the same gene pool lol! Yeah I know man, looking back in hindsight I wish I did. I've only been in one fight in my life so I kind of have that fear of taking the first punch and getting hit. I need to get over it. Like deep down inside I really wanted to. Hopefully next time if the situation calls for it I'll actually do something. No man, you did the right thing. You didn't take the "wusses" way out, you took the intelligent one. You were in "enemy territory" and outnumbered. Most likely you would have landed a punch before getting beat up by a bunch of drunk idiots before being kicked out of the stadium and taken to jail for assault. You kept your cool and thought the situation out as opposed to just letting emotion take over your actions. You did the right thing. exactly - it's best to let words just roll off, especially when you are outnumbered it's idiotic that people have to derive their self worth based on the actions of millionaire grown men .... but it happens i've been an out of market fan my whole life, so maybe i'm a little more sensitive to this stupidity pride and ego will get you in bad spots as long as someone isn't physically threatening me they can say all they want ..... if friendly banter turns into drunken dopiness, I walk i'm secure enough in myself and in my relationship to others that i'm comfortable just moving on the one exception that would be tough is if someone was crossing the line with a family member / loved one who was standing next to me where I would want to protect them from any additional insults, stress, embarassment ...... however, throwing down and getting beat on by the masses / arrested would probably cause all of those responses as well
