La russa is an idiot. The only guy that did not hit for the NL Pujols. How do you leave Hudson or Rowand to bat. Pujols shoudve pinch hit for rowand. There is a better chance pujols gets a hit or walks the tying run. If they go to extra soriano could play CF and Pujols LF. Even La russa said he would not hesitate to play pujols at a diff. position I personnaly think he didnt care who got home field advg. B/c his team is not going anywhere. If the Mets, Brewers , or Padres MGR is there he puts Pujols.

Rashard Lewis is already gone, we cant lose out on Artest. If we do that only leaves Gerald Wallace and i think he will be harder to sign or sign and trade for. Riley needs to start making things happen to get a pg or sf or both.

how come the Yankees game yesterday was suspened and will resume on July 26. They were in the top of the 8th and the yankees are up 8-6? dosent make sense why the yankees and orioles will keep on playing the game and they are in the 8th with a team leading 8-6. but the Mets cannot continue the game and they were in the bottom of the 6th 2-0

Who determines when the game is called off or postponed? is it the umpire? my 1st question really is, why was the Mets game called yesterday after 5.5 innings and they only waited 90min? I'm guessing if the Mets were losing they would have waited longer. Mets were up only 2-0 2nd question is how come the Marlins waited almost 3hrs of combined rain delays when we played the Nationals earlier in the year. How come it was not called then? 3rd question is how come they could not continue the game today in the afternoon, just like we did against the brewers.

i think the strike out record is AJ with 16 vs the rockies in 04 or 05. i remember they gave out the AJ trucker hat that day.

The way were are playing and quickly falling out of the NL East and Wild Card it looks more and more like we will end up trading Dontrelle. Also with Mark Buhrle looking like he will sign an extension, it makes Dontrelle the hottest pitcher out there (regardless of how he is pitching.) Most likley we can get big time prospects from teams. Which prospect package would you take? I dont know much about minor league players and prospects and how good they are rated or how good they will be. Most of the infromation on top prospecs from other teams i get from this forum. I do know CF and C are the biggest holes here. 1) Mets ( Pelfrey/Milledge or Pelfrey/Gomez) It does not matter that the mets are in our division....best package 2) Braves ( Salty and other prospects**) dont know to much about braves farm/ they are looking for another starter behind smoltz and Hudson. 3) Red sox ( Jacob Ellsbury and other prospect**) with schilling hurt, they might need to get another pitcher. Specially with the way the tigers are playing. Also i dont think Boston as a starting Lefty. 4) Mariners ( Adam Jones and prospects**) they are making a strong push at the WC and might battle the Angels. They do need another starter. I dont think you want weaver starting every 5th day. Thses are the four teams i can come up with and the players that you guys have mentioned as being top prospects. Once again i dont know prospects that much. I only know Salty from seeing Braves games. If there are more teams and players feel free to put it out there. But my question is, if we do trade Willis, which package do you like and are any of these a possibility? I personally would take Salty :thumbup ( i think its easier to find CF then a franchise C)

Im with lou best package available if we have to trade Dtrain. Also Willis is not the kind of left handed pitcher the marlins struggle against. They struggle against soft/crafty throwing lefties with good changeups. Willis throws hard and has a good slider.
