Sergio Mitre
I still dont see how he stays in the rotation when Anibal and JJ are back though. As stated in the game thread, he is turning himself into excellent trade bait. Anibal needs to work on his control, he will be back. I agree with you, I think Mitre is going to have to go all out, now he is competeing with last years studs. I would love to see him win though, his control is good, he is a great pitcher, it's just he is a ground ball pitcher being supported by our learning in progress infield.

Clemens is a Yankee
I know Roger is a great and well-respected pitcher and all, but honestly! For the second streight year he "just decided" to want to play ball. Why are the rules being bent for him?! Then he has to maike this huge deal about it by making the annuncement mid-game?! I like him and all but that it really pissed me off how he decided to do this, this can't be good for basebal when players just decide to ignore the offseason and "just join" some team. :thumbdown

5/7/2007: L.A. Dodgers @ Florida Marlins
Well there goes the once powerful and fearsome offense AND ricky is gettign shelled? We have to come back, no way can we take this sitting down.
-
Well, we know Sergio owns the FSL
Mitre isn't a guy that we can tell how good he is going to be yet Thats not true. With all the games he kept us in as a starter (and I mean HE kept us in, not the defense blowing it for him thus him and the team getting the loss), you really think he doesn't deserve a spot in the rotation? 0 K, eww He's a ground ball pitcher

De Aza
where is he? I checked on the site and it showed he was active on his player bio page.

Nolasco vs. the Mets
If it were not for the mets, Nolasco's stats might have rivaled Anibal's. I remember checking his game log last year and aside from the mets, he pitched nothing BUT Quality Starts. The only other games where he was hit hard were two, one against the brewers and cards, he was injured at that time though

COME BACK
I can't beleive Hanly batted third! We still won, I can't beleive it though, I don't have any strange surge from it, I guess I am in so much disbelief. Great game by ollie and hudson. Also, my friend from lunch told me a quote Hudson said in the begining of the eyar but I can't find it. Some thing like "People doubted me last year, I didn't like that, that made me angry" It was such a cool quote, like it said "It's on bitches!" or something :lol but I want the exact quote of what he said. Anyone know where it was from or whatever?

We're not that dumb are we?
This is pretty funny Im sure Americans would score the best if they asked what killed Anna Nicole smith or whose the babys daddy. But those videos have no credibility because im sure about half the people are just saying those things to be funny and get on TV. Agree with the first part. Geography/world events is/are a MAJOR weakness for a lot of people. People have trouble even naming the states let alone finding Chile on the map. Maybe some were saying things (I bet they do it all the time on Jay walking) but I am sure a lot is real. I also agree that they probably went through a thousand people to get those answers. Its just really funny. wow, how random, I am chilean :cool

Panic in Philly! Brett Myers moved to the Pen
This could be interesting, I always saw Myers as a guy who could make wuite the relief pitcher. I sill think charlie needs more then just two are three starts to instantly believe Myers is done as a starter for the season.

Rich Hill Is Killing It
I picked him up on my Fantasy Baseball team and he has been wonderful for me. I was fortunate to pick him up RIGHT before he played, got me 37 fantasy points in my custum league, those points helped me take the first lead of the week! :thumbup

I've never seen this in my life
Looper was starting on my fantasy team so doesn't bother me :mischief Besides, the cards had a strange triple play ealier on. I don't remember who was batting and running, but the batter bunted up, it poped up right by him, so just before he started running to first, Yadi attempted to catch the ball and in the process wrapped his arms around the runner's head to catch the ball, it still dropped and he got a play at second, then 3rd cause the cub runners were in aw of what happened and eventually getting the ball to first before the runner going to first even new what just happened.

Julio and De Aza to DL
What a scare, I thought it was Julio's golden arm we almost lost, atleast it was only his calf. Well Reed tends to be an instant out but he can atleast field well, not a strong arm but the speed to cover Center
-
Julio gotta go
Relax guys. He's working on his pitches. I can tell, I have never seen a pitcher hit to people with one ball!

Marlins @ Astros, 4/16, 8:05 PM
Fredi should have a word with him, we have had such a great offense, why would he do that knowing he is bound to score?!
-
BJ Ryan
He is injured, thats why he kept leaving the ball up and getting hit hard. Jays JUST put him on the DL today.

Sunday, April 15, 2007 - Marlins @ Braves
i like this rotation, Olsen just needs to get control back. Anibal partially imploded against the nats but his game with the Brewers was ok. Hopefully Rick can continue his good pitching against Houston, Mitre shut them out last year.

Marlins leading league in hitting
Overall it's not truly surprising based on how we did last year. Jacobs and Hermida were constantly inured and the only true hole in the line up wa Reggie, which De Aza plugged up with cement. :thumbup Now if the SP can keep on par again cause the BP seems pretty reliable.

De Aza - out with a sore ankle
This sucks! Well the offense has been great, I say we give Reed a shot, he can cover CF pretty good, even if he isn't the best offensive threat, he can still run and bunt on base.
