I would do that Turner trade, even though it might hurt us long term (he's still a decent pitching arm). Especially if we can sign Trumbo to an extension. Ramos is nice but he's a luxury at this point and we need to sell that off a bit to pay our "Power" bills. I also would mind seeing if we can trade Lomo for Middlebrooks as well. As much as Lomo is likeable by some here, his power won't ever play in Marlins park. Atleast Trumbo's might. If we can get a Starting 3B for Lomo then I'm all for it. Adding Middlebrooks and Trumbo to this lineup will give it SOME credibility, where as right now it looks like something we might have gotten on sale at Costco. Moving Lomo and getting both Trumbo and Middlebrooks may be like making moves to just make moves, but Lomo will NEVER be a .300 hitter with 20 HR's playing in Marlins park. The Red Sox may trade for him to fill Napoli's 1B job or to play DH as well. Middlebrooks may be in AAA next year from what I've read.

Middlebrooks, Phillips and Trumbo. Get all three. What would we do with Middlebrooks AND Trumbo? That would be a little redundant. And idk why so many people here are high on Phillips. Honestly I'd rather have Dietrich for cheap. Middlebrooks at 3B, Trumbo at 1B.

Realistically- I see Trumbo, Middlebrooks, possibly Uggla or Infante, Arencibia, Morse, Loney, Michael Young, Peralta, Ellsbury and Josh Johnson as players the Marlins may be linked to. Who they get is a mystery. I wouldnt mind Trumbo, Middlebrooks and Arencibia though. Maybe Morse as a OF/1B if his market is so down he has no choice.

Why should I get over it? My favorite team adopted what are arguably the worst uniforms, logo, and color combination in the history of professional sports. They had great uniforms and a very awesome traditional logo already(which they had won two world series championships with, btw) that there was no need to change aside from making the F an M. This garbage deserves to be mocked and degraded at every opportunity and hopefully at some point they will realize how awful they are and make a change to something that isnt terrible. Pulling for STL. Like how they built their team. Didn't realiZe it until game 6 ended that only 5 players were brought into the system to supplement their farm products. Still incredible turnaround for Boston. Their 2012 core lost in the NLCS, but the rebuilt parts won't the 13 ALCS. Give us hope as marlins fans a bit if the Marlins spend wisely this time.
