Lets be real, we know games are shown by the money advertisers spend, if you are spending money for your product to be seen by the public, you want as much people to see it, we should not complain when we can't even get our own fans to come to games, it is not fair but that is how the cookie crumble.

I wonder what the over/under is on how many times ESPN makes a comment about our attendance. Alot. Every time they scan the stands. Also, do an over/under on how many times they will mention how the Phillies fans outnumber us as well. And we will deserve it. Everyone knows how to shut them up. By going to the games. And yet most prefer to sit back and do nothing but complain about others mentioning our low attendance. Great post, we cannot expect them to just talk about the good, we have to face the bad also.

That's one reason i like Mariano, get the last out, just walk off the mound to the dugout. class.

What is more depressing,is that philly win. it is over.

I'm not renewing my season tickets until the team have a new manager, i'm tired of Freddie. plain and simple.

I know the closer position is overrated but i would love the FO to get an overrated closer like Mariano, would make me feel good.

Watch what you are saying, you must not say anything negative about the team, m/o, their will not make the playoff this year.

Everyone was saying we shouldn't sign Pedro, he is to old, can't do it anymore, now we are ready to bring back Willis, who last two years were no good. btw Pedro is 4-0.

Our hopes are fading slowly.

Team RISP: 0-8. When will this idiot learn that he CAN NOT allow our players to get into scoring position? It's just a recipe for failure. Anyone can see that. And while we are on the topic of finger pointing.....Where exactly was Bo and Andy during all this?? Probably counting the fans in the seats. , exactly. If the team actually stepped up when needed, we wouldn't be going so low as to blame the manager when things go wrong. People complaining about taking JJ out, were you not watching the last two or three starts when he has been great for 5 innings in a row and implodes in the 7th? We have a large amount of long relief pitchers, it was the right move given the situation we are in to take out JJ. Seriously, Fredi's got to stop being used as the scapegoat when our players don't come through. So we should not praise him when they come through.

the sick part, philly won.

I wonder if Fredi will just throw him out there or maybe have him sit for the night, perhaps pinch-hitting or as a defensive replacement in the eighth or ninth? Did you say use Hanley as a defensive replacement, well wonders never cease, Do you mean this because perhaps he is still injured or because you are commenting on his lack of defensive prowess? Hanley has done pretty well at short stop defensively this season and he has looked much better than Emilio did yesterday. I think we all know Hanley weak spot is his defense, so see a post to use him as a defensive replacement is kind of shocking.

When i first came to the board, I post that Hanley is treated with kids gloves and he can do no wrong, just about everyone on here jump all over me, before i move here and became a marlin fan, i follow another team who was loaded with superstars and no one was untouchable, we have to learn he is a great player but if he is wrong he need to be call out on it,

We have to look for something new this year, we don't have the mets to knock out of the playoff,

Damn, because if Fredi would have just showed more passion, we probably would have won all those games. Newsflash, passion plays a role... sarcasm doesn't. Try telling Lou Piniella that...and just leave Fredi alone...he has his stupid moments but what he has done with a team full of kids and the lowest payroll in baseball is amazing I'm tried of hearing we have the lowest payroll, i think alot of fans use that as a crutch, fredi is not going anywhere because nobody else is going to manage this team when to FO is happy with what their have.

I really hate to say it but we really do have bandwagon fans. Bandwagon fan? WTH? I don't think you could be any more non-band wagon than a guy who has followed the team since 1993. Sure, I've seen two world championships but there have been some pretty lean years as well and I didn't just hop on when it looked like a fun thing to do. Just because I get upset and ticked off at seeing my team absolutely blow doesn't make me a bandwagon fan. I've just seen the same act from 2004-2009, the really pathetic play down the stretch, and its very disheartening. We don't have a culture of winning in South Florida, what we do have is a culture of good enough- as in we're good enough to be competitive until the stretch run grinds down but not good enough to actually make the playoffs. I'm upset by this team's play because its clearly evident that we won't be going anywhere this year, and with the mentality of this organization it will probably be a long time before they actually go anywhere. That's why our September's always really upset me. And yes, I'm rooting for football season to start so it can distract me from the disappointment that is my favorite baseball team. That doesn't mean that I don't care about the Marlins, its just means that I care so much that I need something to take my mind off their struggles. And I've sat through every game of 1-15 Dolphins seasons, 4-12 Dolphins seasons, everything. While I could really care less about how I'm perceived as a sports fan (as if people who are "true" fans deserve some type of award or something), I really think being called a bandwagon fan is inaccurate. You are so right, that is why i post very little, their are many fans who are happy no matter how the team is playing, and when you say something negative, you are not a fan, it seem like we are happy every september saying we knock the mets and other teams out of the playoff, it is time we are in the playoff.

I feel the team after winning ten straight look past this series and was looking ahead to philly, by the time they wakeup the series were over, well it is on to Philadelphia, hoping we win this series.

How many Post Game thread are there?

I may be wrong but wasn't Miquel Cabrera untouchable, i think he now play for the Tigers.

What they need to do is shake up the team, get rid of pitching and hitting coaches, even the manager and stop the expressway between aaa and the majors. so 4.5 back of wild card and we should just stop and start over? im sure glad your not running this team because you have no clue what your talking about Sorry, I forgot i'm dealing with the expert of baseball, i wouldnt say expert but smarter than u If you are smarter than me in baseball, it means nothing to me, i don't make a living beings smart in baseball.

It seem like the marlins have a major highway between the major team and aaa, a pitcher don't pitcher well for a couple of games he goes down, most of the young guys are like yo-yos, up and down, i hope the FO make some serious decisions soon.

So for now it's J. Johnson R. Nolasco C. Volstad R. VandenHurk ? hmmmm I smell a trade about to happen!!! It's clear we need a 3rd, and a starting pitcher... How does this sound for a trade! "Scott Rolen & Roy Halladay" for "Emilio Bonifacio, Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, and Anibal Sanchez, and a player to be named later." They want to prove to the fans that they are serious about winning? Then make this happen SAMPSON!!! This would give us a top notch defensive 3rd baseman who's a .300 hitter, and would probably be better suited for the NL anyway with his swing, and his style of play! Oh, and we would have the best pitcher in baseball!!! If only for half a year! Who cares! lol I think those two guys would get us over the hump in the NL East... If this front office is serious then those guys I mentioned would be great trade bait! Hang those guys over to the Blue Jays, and see what they say! NONE OF those guys mean a thing to us right now, and would be usefull in a trade to bring in two SUPERSTARS! Anyway if you all think of a better trade let me know lol... Whatever you smoking give me some.
