8/6 Postgame Thread

The more losses, the better the chance Fredi Gonzalez gets fired. Along with his dumbass bench coach who's about 10x dumber than he is. In short, if you're not going to make the playoffs...keep the losses coming.

This team should be ashamed of themselves. Being swept by the PATHETIC Nationals in August is f-ing unacceptable.

This crap should not be happening. :banghead

This team is lousy. It's not Fredi, it's the entire team minus a few players.

This team has lousy coaches.

I've said this after many games this year, and I'll say it again, today. I could've made better moves.

And this isn't based on result, either.

I was laughing at the moves in the postgame thread, before the results happened. Ask them, if you don't believe me.

So sick of this team not delivering with runners in scoring position, not even Hanley had clutch hits in this series.

ill post what i posted a couple of days ago

It really is obvious this fo has no interest in winning. They got nick for free just to make the fans not get on them. It's obvious saving money 4 years from now is more important then winning and getting a 5th starter and it shows. A team with an interest in winning fires there awful hitting coach to spark the team. A team that is interested in winning doesn't keep their cf in the minors, and a team who wants to win goes out and gets a fifth starter. This team is going nowhere until all of these things happen

i agree

Fredi isnt going anywhere...

Crazy getting swept, i expected 2 of 3.... especially after the Cubs series... Puts our team in a HUGE hole, were going to have to come up HUGE in Philly and sweep them to get back into it

Yep, it's games like these why we are going to have YET AGAIN another 82-82 or worse lame ass season. Good Job GUYS!!!!!! Asswipes....

Ayala is trash. Whenever he is near the mound, I know runs will be scored.

hopefully we regroup, get ready for the phillies.

i hope so too, but this was very discouraging. but this team is unpredictable watch them swep the phillies, lmao i wish

There is no excuse for being swept by the Nationals... This was a major embarrassment... and right now I am on the "Knee-jerk reaction bandwagon" in saying that someone needs to be fired for this because now going to play the Phillies, I am not liking our playoff chances at all... If sacrificing wins and racking up losses leads to the firing of Fredi and his staff, I hope its sooner rather than later, because no way in hell do I want that idiot running this team when the stadium opens... ***end of pissed off rant***

What will it take for you to understand that we can't call Maybin up yet?

Ayala is trash against left-handed hitters.

Too bad our dumbass bench coach has even less of a clue than our dumbass manager.

He brings Ayala back out for the 8th, knowing that the first 2 hitters in that inning are 2 left-handed hitters. (1 of them being Nyjer Morgan who has absolutely mashed RHP, in general, this year).

Difficult for a pen to do their job, when the coaches don't know what a split stat is.

The dumbass moves do begin with Fredi, though, of course. I mean...Brian Sanches was clearly available today (went an inning last night...went over an inning TODAY). Why bring Tim Wood in in the 5th when he was JUST called up?

well the marlins are either going to face the phillies with a frown and possibly can get whipped.

or they wake up, know its crunch time, know that tomorrow is a new day, come out fresh, and beat the phillies.

this was very disapointing to watch.

but like i said before, this happens...its baseball.

ive watched the marlins for so long, and ive watched baseball so long, these things happen.

Cant get discouraged, raise some hell in philly.

I don't even know why I'm arguing with you since you actually think the FO doesn't want to win, but whatever.

First of all, it's likely to be near $3 million, which is could get us a bat, pitcher, etc. in the future.

Second, how do you even know that he would be better than one of our current ourfielders?

So sick of this team not delivering with runners in scoring position, not even Hanley had clutch hits in this series.

Yeah not scoring RISP killed us, Volstad 4 ER, Cantus error hurt, home plate umpire was squezing need to regroup.

The Marlins had no problems naming Maybin the Opening Day CFer, so if Maybin was hitting closer to .300 than the near .200 average he had, would they have still sent him down to AAA just to save $$$... My point is, if Maybin was hitting out of the gate, he'd still be up... I agree that the FO, if they really cared, would say f*** the money, bring up Maybin, we need him now
