urumotherpucker94
Do you guys think he will make it. I think he deserves it but last year right after the derby he struggled for a bit so I dont know if I would like to see him there.
Marlinswschamps2008
Do you guys think he will make it. I think he deserves it but last year right after the derby he struggled for a bit so I dont know if I would like to see him there. He will make it without any doubt. This time he may do better and who knows maybe he will win it.
CYmarlins
He did very well in the Derby last year and if he stays within the top players in HR, i dont see why he wouldnt be.
Cabrerafan
I do not want Cabs in the home-run derby this year. He struggled a bit after the All-Star break and admitted the derby wore him out.
louiecastillo1
I'd love to see Cabrera in it again this year, I had a blast watching him last year and it would be cool to see a marlin win it for once.

Wild Card
Why the hell not? I love seeing our guys getting respect like that. I mean, c'mon. In 14 years we've only had 2 people in the Derby, and last year he was awesome (unlike Sheff in '96). Plus, this team can always use some positive publicity... Mauer7
I don't think the HR Derby could have "worn him out" too much. He took some swings, he might have been sore afterwards..but I don't think he was fatigued the rest of the season due to twenty minutes of BP. MoveFishToOrlando
I think this should be the invite list. 4 People go from each league but this should be fun if any combination of these players partcipate. American David Ortiz Alex Rodriguez Vladdy Guerrero Justin Morneau Travis Hafner Gary Sheffield Sammy Sosa National Barry Bonds Ken Griffey Adam Dunn Miguel Cabrera Prince Fielder Ryan Howard Albert Pujols
DcFishFan
No quibbles with NL list (although it's too bad that the Brew-Crew's JJ Hardy doesn't get into the derby with the torrid spring he's had). But AL list is lacking. Sammy Sosa? I mean, come on. It's a nice story, but he's only got 11 jacks on the year. Carlos Pena of the Rays has 16, Alex Rios of the Jays has 15. They're more deserving. I would pick either of those guys over T. Hafner, too. If you want an Indian, pick Vic Martinez instead.
CYmarlins
Home Run Derby this year will be fun to watch because the Giant's park isn't exactly pitcher friendly.
