Man up and get in Hanley face, i dont care how much money his making. If his going to jog after a ball and let runs score and a runner get to 3rd and not run full speed up the line when he his a grounder to SS get him out of the GAME!

I think Beinfest should discipline him.

Good move by Fredi!! Out of the f***ing game!

And they shuold do something because his going to turn into Manny

I hope Fredi didn't think Hanley was hurt and did it purely to discipline him.

It wasnt because he was hurt. He went right towards him at the end of the inning and took him right out

Just caught this on an ESPN gamebreak. I totally support taking him out. Good job, Fredi.

Disappointing, but to be honest this isn't the first time I have seen Hanley go after a ball half-ass or even play a game that way. Sometimes I wonder where his heads at, he is a great player, just don't know if he always cares about what happens during the course of a game. I know it sounds silly but sometimes he acts like "Manny being Manny", maybe we should quote the term "Hanley being Hanley".

Didn't Hanley foul a ball off his shin? I didn't see that play, but I wonder whether he's simply hurt.

Yes. He was limping and wincing.

So it could be a good explanation...

I wish he pulled him for dogging it but I still think it was more likely a precaution for injury.

If Hanely was that injured to the point where he jogged after that ball, he should have asked to be removed from the game. Either way, he's at fault.

I thought he pulled him because he was hurt after he fouled that ball of his ankle. He ran down the line ok but you could tell it hurt.

Id also like to think he pulled him for dogging it but Fredi doesn't seem to have that personality. Guys foul balls of their legs all the time and stay in games.

Hanley definitely was showing signs of pain when running down to first. He could've easily beaten out the throw to first if he ran at full speed, but he ran at 50%, causing him to be out by a mile.

I'm giving Hanley the benefit of the doubt today, he definitely was a bit hurt out in the field, which had to have contributed to his lack of hustle.

Why is everyone covering up for him?

Cody got hit MUCH MUCH harder and stayed in the game and giving 100%. Hanley in other words doesnt seem to care something since he already got his money, like Uggla said.

And i dont care if his the best player on this team or not. If his going to play like he did today i rather see his ass on the bench till he fixes that attitude of his.

If Hanely was that injured to the point where he jogged after that ball, he should have asked to be removed from the game.

And then he has people bitching at him for not caring enough to play through injury, just like when he asked to be removed from a game last year and Uggla called him out

It's lose-lose for him.

Seriously.

Yeah i thought about that too.
