June 10, 201016 yr From the looks of it, the fish tanks aren't going to be directly behind home plate, just to the side. The only way I can see this shattering is if Stephen Strasburg loses all control of his hands and throws one to his left, which in that case the least of our worries will be what happens to the fish :$

I'd imagine they'll have several filters such as this one (that site even says commercial products are available), which would limit hand cleaning to maybe once a year. Awesome idea.
June 10, 201016 yr Really neat concept - I wouldn't worry about the glass for a second unless the design team is the height of incompetance I grew up near Corning where a lot of glass types are made - in their museum they have a glass breaking demo - always fun watching guys with hammers bounce them off the glass The real issues will be startling the fish when the ball does play off the glass and little kids (or drunk adults) kicking the tank
June 10, 201016 yr The Poor fish are going to feel like that have their head in a bell if that tank gets hit. That is an awesome Idea. I really like the fact that Water is playing a big part of the stadium.

June 10, 201016 yr Wow! Samson was right. Loria will make this stadium the most unique and awesome in the world! Nice idea. Really good idea. Hopefully Stanton wont slide into it. However, teal should not be changed. This weekened I watched a game between the Blue Jays and Rays and could not help the feeling of being completely board of watching two teams that have the same colors and basically same style uniforms, not to mention the names. The aquariam is going to be nice though.

June 11, 201016 yr Unbreakable "glass" has been around for some time. As a kid, I remember seeing commercials starring Bob Gibson. He was repeatedly firing his 100 MPH directly at a glass wall. Cool stuff.

So it's not really glass, as most think of it. You could take one of those test cannons and fire a 2x4 at it at 150 mph and it wouldn't break it. The rest of your post I'll have to take your word for it. About the only thing I know about fish is that they don't look stressed at all on my plate. Kinda comfy in fact. All nestled in there between the other goodies.

I used it on a robot for a battle bot competition back in high school and that thing was a wrecking ball. I think this is a really neat feature, can't wait for the place to open!
