dim
We win. But we lose Brett Hayes and Donnie Murphy for the season (With Nolasco already believed to be done for the year and Uggla injured). And most likely we're losing Volstad for a start and Gaby for a couple of games in future suspensions. This team health wise is falling apart at the seems. MrMarlinPride
Moves that need to be made after this game. Ossie Martinez, Jose Ceda up, maybe Brian Barden up... Jorge Sosa DFA'd. And of course, re-sign Gaby Sanchez, 4 years 7 mil with a K.O. clause, every takedown he gets will earn him an extra 40K. :notworthy
I Love Me Some Fish
Damn, that was awesome. Idk which I like better....Porcello throwing Youkalis to the ground or what Gaby did to Nyjer. GABY!
alejandrasnow
Donnie Bleeping Smurphy is out. Volstad and Gaby are champs. Morgan is a disgrace especially that display after the brawl.
canada-marlin24
good offense. terrible pitching. big big loss in donnie and i would really like to see him back next year. injuries are really starting to hit us hard. f***ing phillies won. Rabbethan
I hope Gaby doesn't get suspended, that was purely a defensive lariat.
BafflingBeerman
Morgan is such an idiot. I know he already got HBP earlier in the game, but to charge Volstad after that pitch, which was behind him, in such an aggressive manner, just shows a lack of class. Also, stealing two bases after the first HBP? Also classless.

Porcello tossing Youkilis to the ground like a rag doll was great. Of course I'm going to be partial to Gaby clothes-lining Morgan though. canada-marlin24
i was just waiting for something like this to happen with morgan. ive never liked him and he deserved what he got. he walked off the field like the f***ing loser that he is and he sure isnt going to have many teams vying for his services next season. Bret Hart
Don't forget next Nats-Fish game. We'll visit Washinton on Sept. 10th thru 12th. BTW, Tonight game was so weird. 9 Rbi was produced at 2-out situation, but Marlins pitcher allowed 6 double and 1 homer. That's not good. dim
If Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, and Keyshawn Johnson were announcing this game, they would say Nyjer Morgan got JACKED UP!
MrMarlinPride
I hope Gaby doesn't get suspended, that was purely a defensive lariat. I feel Gaby gets 2 or 3 Games, Volstad a game or 2, Edwin a game, Riggleman a game, Listash a game or 2 and Morgan season and put on trial by the MLB to be suspended for a month or two going into next season. gizmo
Can't say I really agree with Conine here. For those of us without TV – what did he say? First off, he doesn't mind Morgan stealing 2nd and 3rd since the game was still only in the 3rd and he just wanted to get his team a run. Also that it was unnecessary of Volstad to throw at Morgan the second time and Morgan did what he had to by charging (more or less). He wasn't really defending Morgan, but giving us a ballplayer's view of the situation.
Bret Hart
Edwin said we are looking for another FA catcher, so who's gonna be?
HitDaCycle
What a crazy game! From high scoring, to playing really well then sloppy after the brawl..and of course the brawl. Glad we won this game, especially after everything but this really sucks about Donnie Murphy. Gaby..wow..the WWE is calling ya Gaby but tell them you're with the Marlins. Who didn't see this brawl coming though? Really this was bound to happen. But yeah, now we're going to lose players due to suspension. First career homer for Davis. Wes Helms had a great night. Two hits for Stanton including a homer! Just a great offensive night. Let's hope Da Murphenator returns next year! Donnie Murphy :notworthy
Erick
I hope Gaby doesn't get suspended, that was purely a defensive lariat. Volstad will probably get 5 (a start) Gaby will probably get a couple. Honestly, I don't see why Riggleman or Listash get a suspension. Either way, who cares? The season is over, and it was great to see a retaliation after what happened last night. GABY! :notworthy

MrMarlinPride
Can't say I really agree with Conine here. For those of us without TV – what did he say? He basically said what Volstad did was wrong in throwin at him a second time. I feel he's purely saying this in his own opinion as a former MLB hitter that wouldn't want to be hit in that situation either. I both agree and disagree. Also on ESPN, Riggleman agrees with what Morgan did both stealing the bases and charging the mound...
