i am quite dissappointed with this move as i think burke has been getting better and has better stuff than sanches.

Sanches and Mujica have no options so this was the only way to retain all 3.

Sanches has no options; if we had sent him down, he was as good as gone. Now we get to keep both and have depth.

Nobody should dislike this.

yes thats obviously the reason.... i guess we still keep all 3 and im sure well see burke soon.

Shame for Burke but he should get decent time up here during the season anyway

dont like this. sanches is nothing special and badenhop is one of our most consistent relievers. I would have rather found a way to carry another reliever especially early in theyear because these guys arent going to be able to go 8 innings right off the bat.

Yep, this was the right mood. So nice that he is pure depth. It's nice to actually have a bullpen to speak of.

Not that I'm happy for The Hopper... but folks... after the way the 2010 bullpen went... if Burke Badenhop doesn't fit into the 2011 Opening Day Bullpen, it means WE FINALLY HAVE A REAL BULLPEN! This is a good day!

Badenhop has options.

I'm upset none of these relievers have been traded.

7 relievers is more than enough.

Why would you want a short bench? In the National League...

It probably won't be long until he is up. It's a win, win. If the bullpen does good, he won't be up. If someone falters, we have a pretty decent backup.

He should be starting in the minors, if the Marlins are smart.

This move just proves the depth we have. Most likely, Badenhop will be up here during the regular season anyway for one reason or another.

I love the Hopper, but the only way to run a major league squad is to prepare for all 162 games. We're gonna need him at some point, probably in the not too distant future, and the team knows this.

Saying that guys are "cut" like so many do when it comes to opening day rosters is silly. It's not like football, where you either make the team or you are gone. The Hopper wasn't sent down because he wasn't good enough, he was sent down because it allows us to keep him and other guys.

He should be starting in the minors, if the Marlins are smart.

Sure I read one of the journos on Twitter saying he would continue his long relief role at AAA.

Sanches' has got a 2.40 ERA in 108 appearances as a Marlin and has been steady as a rock. What more do you want?

I still predict he finishes in top 4 in reliever innings this year. Someone is going to get hurt and he will come up and eat masses of innings. Last three years he has finished 2nd, 1st, and 7th in RP innings, and hasn't been up entire seasons.

This is the correct move as everyone above has said, he had the option. Odd man out. He is a pro and this won't effect him.

It's nice to have Badenhop and Sanabia waiting (even if we have 2-3 very skeptical position players at the moment, not including Wes Helms).

I totally forgot about Sanabia too ^^^

I love the depth.

Hopper will be back in no time. Was the right move, another guys were out of options.... Nothing you can really do.

Sanches' numbers aren't great as a long reliever but whatever.

I have zero idea how you came to this conclusion.

It's more, he's rarely ever a long reliever.

14 games in 2009 of more than 25 pitches: .231/.348/.333. In 2010, 7 games: .200/.250/.400.

When facing an opponent a second time, 4 games in 2009: 125/.222/.125. It never happened in 2010.
