Will Mike Stanton be back for Tuesday's game?

Featured Replies

What's Stanton's situation? I thought he was supposed to be back by now?

Expected back in starting lineup tomorrow or Saturday.

About time!

with Hanley struggling at the moment, we definately need Stanton back in there...

Im excited to see stanton too but expect more k's than anything else...

Well, in all fairness...

He's had 2 pinch-hitting plate appearances. First one he walked on very close pitches [a strike with most umpires but Tschida was being fair and stingy for both sides] and then struck out in the other on bad calls. So, I don't expect him to strike out too much in his return. Once, probably. Against a reliever.

Sure he's going to strike out. But the HR's he may hit isn't the only reason he is needed back. He provides a threat. He provides serious protection for Hanley in the lineup.

I also really like that it will push Gaby, Logan and Buck down one spot. I know I've said it before but it really seems like a much more balanced lineup with him in there. Hurry back you monster of a man

Are we ever going to have our full lineup out on the field?

Any takers on who gets injured the day before Hanley comes back?

LoMo will probably run into the wall and get a concussion.

Coghlan tried really hard to add himself to that list the other night...

Stanton supposedly only at 70-75 percent. What does this mean for his ability to beat out close plays? Is he just going to jog to first regardless?

Coghlan's only weakness involves shaving cream pies and end game celebrations .

No, he'll just have to hit a HR every time. Then he can jog around the bases

The feeling of anticipation for Stanton's return is on a par with The Rock's return to the ring.....

Which won't happen for another year.
