Great performance. When he's got 4 pitches working + control + a fastball that can touch 95 MPH, he's a really tough pitcher.

April 23, 201115 yr I have to say, something does seem different about this team compared to previous seasons. It is still early, of course, but they're scrapping and not giving up. Everyone seems to be contributing and picking up the slack when someone falls behind (or gets injured). It cannot be emphasized enough the impact winning a bunch of games early will have on a young team. Go Fish!

April 23, 201115 yr nice job anibal! i know it's still early, but i'm getting the feeling that this will be a special season. i felt this way in 2003 and 2006. i know in 2006 we had a losing record, but it was nonetheless a special season in my eyes, with the kids overcoming an 11-31 start and having a heck of a fun and entertaining season.

April 23, 201115 yr ESPN's worst nightmare? A Marlins team that wins. Rawrrrr ESPN can deal with it, although the mainstream sports media will porbably do a wait and see approach. We can all probably say...if this team can be at least 6 games over .500 at all-star break...maybe hopefully 10 wins or more, ESPN will be our biggest fans. Cause they like bandwagons. 12-6 start is nice...and with Hanley, Infante, and Stanton not at their game yet hitting wise...whew. NL East better watch out.

Also a great night for Coghlan with two hits, a HR, and the great diving catch.
