His slider was actually nasty tonight on that Barajas at-bat. Even the hit he gave up to Loney was not that terrible of a pitch. This was by far his most dominant outing of the season. I may not have been against elite hitters, but if he's hitting his spots like he did today no one can touch him.

April 27, 201115 yr Right now, I'm surprised when this team loses, and it's a great feeling to have. On a nice little high with Marlins baseball, we are.
April 27, 201115 yr Something about this team just seems special. I agree, this team has shown they can play with anyone in the league. I think they could end up as the best team in baseball. They're beating good competetion, teams that many had in the playoffs with LoMo injured and Infante, Hanley, and (to a lesser extent) Stanton not playing up to their full potential with the bat. JJ, Ricky, and Anibal are balling this season and our bullpen is deep and one of the best in the game. All the pieces are in place.
April 27, 201115 yr Volstad over Kershaw... didn't see that one coming. I mean they're doing this now with LoMo out, Hanley hitting .230, Infante .201, Buck .210... we haven't even had the full lineup together healthy more than a few games.
