May 2, 201115 yr For some reason, I find it kind of unsettling to see so many people celebrating someone's death. Maybe it's normal, but it's the first time I've experienced it.

It's not the death that people celebrate. It's justice being served for the near 3,000 victims on 9/11. Don't be fooled. This will hardly do anything in terms of the actual game. But mentally speaking, it's a moral pick-me-up that will potentially have a domino effect of growth in nationalism, growth in morale, economic growth, and the sort.

Hopefully it's demoralizing for Al-Qaeda.
May 2, 201115 yr For some reason, I find it kind of unsettling to see so many people celebrating someone's death. Maybe it's normal, but it's the first time I've experienced it. This man has killed thousands upon thousands of people, and has come up with plans to kill even more innocent people in the future. This death signals a changing of the tide in a sense. Although Al Qaeda still exists and will remain strong, killing Osama is symbolic of that there's a chance of actually accomplishing something in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Also, this statement was made 5 years to the day after President Bush's infamous "Mission Accomplished" speech. This is no coincidence.
