Props to you guys, but it really doesn't matter if you have an allstar team out there. If they dont win, they wont come.

I don't think he means they're going to come out because we signed three or four big names. At the end of the day, the only big name signed is Jose Reyes. The rest are just quality pitchers that the casual fan probably has no idea about.

 

Pujols would have made that splash to put people in the seat but winning can do that too.

If the Marlins get Wilson, I would think that they would be the favorite to win the WS. Imagine a rotation of JJ-CJ-MB-Anibal-Nolasco, with Heath Bell closing games out. We already have one of the best bullpens in the game. Now imagine this lineup. Reyes-Bonifacio-Ramirez-Stanton-Sanchez-Morrison-Infante-Buck-Pitcher. I'd have a hard time coming up with a better team in baseball on paper.

People seem to forget that the Phillies are likely minus Oswalt and J-Roll next year.

the lineup is ok. Gaby's regression in the second half was quite alarming also it's unknown whether or not boni may replicate what he did last season. not trying to be a debbie downer just stating facts. Also JJ has to stay healthy this year which is a huge question mark

If i had to guess the amount of the contract it would be 6yrs 90 mill....anyone agrees?

I'd imagine he's getting less than Buehrle on average, considering he's getting two more years tacked on. I'd say more along the lines of $80 million.
