What can you say? Like we discussed in the game thread... Fernandez is perfect to be the face of the franchise in so many ways. Hopefully is here for years to come.

Man... Tremendously huge series coming up. Keep it going.

Why is it important?

For the inevitable playoff push. Duh!

2.72 ERA, 1.06 WHIP

2.79 ERA, 1.07 WHIP

Guess the two players

Shelby Miller and Jose Fernandez?

Cool to see the team winning and some of the guys performing so well. Fernandez' xFIP indicates that the performance is sustainable. I'd like to see the team move quickly and buy out a FA year or two early on. Doesn't seem to be the FO's thinking though as the Stanton situation shows.

Reports were out last week that the Marlins were going to hold onto Stanton and give him a multiyear deal in the offseason, so you never know. I don't think they'll make the same mistake they made with Stanton here.

Yeah because I don't give up.

Fernandez toughest competition for NL ROY is Puig, not Shelby. I think he will pass Shelby by the end of the season.

Jose will only get 160 or so innings max. That'll prob keep him out of the running

Yea, if he is hands-down the top rookie by years end it won't stop him from winning the award.

Is Matt Harvey a rookie, or did he use his eligibility last year?
