lets look at this objectively for a minute.

Kershaw is having an incredible season. Hands down Cy Young winner. Jose will have his shots down the line.

The only case you can make for Jose is being a very very distant runner up in the Cy Young race.

About the only way Kershaw doesnt win is for him to have the worst last 2 weeks of his career magnified by about 10. That's how far he has outpaced the field ALL YEAR.

And by the way, its beyond STUPID to have Jose at 21 years old go anymore than he has.

 

 

Its bad for his long term development and you are putting un necessary risk of injury on his arm.

 

 

When you develop pitchers initially you dont really want them going more than 20-25% higher than their previous innings simply to truly condition their arms long term.

 

Jose should be ready to go for 200 + next year.
