I know it sounds redundant....but time is running out fast. We need to get out of this psychological funk of just staying around .500. 88 wins will get us in and that means 23-9. Not impossible but we will not make it at this rate. 2 6 game winning streaks needs to happen pretty much now.

It might be too early to make this statement but it looks like the Marlins might have won the trade at the deadline with the Houston Astros. Cosart has given the Marlins exactly what they needed. I like our chances when he's on the mound. He had a live fastball yesterday topping out at 98 mph and he mixed in his curveball nicely.

True. But if Cishek had taken a baby step on Saturday and if the team took another baby step on Sunday, we'd be a game back right now. Baby steps is one thing, missing multiple opportunities to take those baby steps is another.

Not to mention the game we lost to the Reds because of the over turned call at the plate. We should be tied for the second wild card spot right now.

Also, 14 others strike out a higher % rate than Stanton so your statement is factually incorrect, Vince. The difference is, none of those 14 even come close to Stanton in any of the non k stats.

That is well said and i will agree. Also, i believe loria will sign him.

Well not the agreeable response I was expecting, but I'll take it :)

Last point, Trout's k rate is 25.2%. Stanton's is 26.2%.

No problem brother

Stanton's BA of .299 is better than Trout's .285

And Stanton's OBP of .409 is way better than Trout's .370

And Stanton's SLG% of .566 is better than Trout's .555

And Stanton's WAR of 6.5 is better than Trout's 6.0

How is it even a question who the NL MVP is? Jesus Christ...

More importantly in the argument, only one of those players plays in the NL!
