fanofthefish
Are there any players other than Heaney, that anyone would like to see being promoted in September? Another catcher would a good addition, but with the Suns still in contention does Brantly get the call? There are players like Jensen, Urena and Dayton that are on the 40 man roster that might help, the team can always slide Kevin Gregg to the 60 day DL to create another spot, possibly the same with Jennings if he isn't coming back soon. Admin
Dietrich will almost definitely be back too
Erick
Realmuto>Brantly Also, Carter Capps should be back with the team in September.
SongInTheAir
Realmuto, Capps, and Dietrich will all be back up. I wouldn't be surprised to see guys like Olmos and DeSclafani, although they were assigned to AFL clubs, so they might want to give them a bit of a break. Caminero and his 4.94 ERA in AAA should be back for some reason too.
Wild Card
Arms, who knows outside of Heaney and Disco. Bats? Dietrich, Realmuto, Bour, Canha, Jensen I would assume if they're all on the 40. It would also be nice to have Austin Wates' speed off the bench.
Joe8512
Realmuto was promising. Don't see why he isn't the starter. He has better defense by miles than Mathis or Salty. So he hasn't hit well? Salty isn't exactly a haven for hits. May as well take good defense over someone who is awful at both.

Salty isn't exactly a haven for hits. May as well take good defense over someone who is awful at both. Mathis is pretty good defensively and generally calls a good game. Realmuto may need to learn the gamecalling aspect a bit more, but his defense seems OK in the minors, yeah.

Wild Card
Realmuto should likely be our 2nd catcher in 2015, and will probably play in 60-80 games if all goes well.
SilverBullet
I don't see any surprises in the callups this year. It'll all be guys who have already been up this year.

You guys think the FO tries to make a move to bring back Mathis in 2015? It wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Piazza31
You guys think the FO tries to make a move to bring back Mathis in 2015? It wouldn't surprise me in the least. They should, he calls an excellent game. Wouldn't mind seeing him used as a late in I g replacement daily.
SilverBullet
Makes me wonder, has any manager ever consistently used a backup catcher as a late inning defensive replacement? I wanna instinctively say no, that's way too ballsy of a move for most managers.
gizmo
I'm quite curious to see our pitchers ERA and FIP when Mathis catches. Is that information anywhere?
