#Giancarlo in good spirits, saying he was uplifted by his mates. Dental work on 3 teeth in Miami. Fractures will heal, no surgery expected

- Minervini

I wouldn't be too surprised if he played tonight wearing a big scary mask.

The spirit in this team is ace. I only wish Jones, McGehee, Hech & WTFPSB* were better players.

*whoever the fuck plays second base

I gotta say the tweeting of all the baseball players about it is kinda cool.

on the flip side, I think Fiers tweeting stanton directly was more to make him look better. If he really gives a shit, he needs to go so wassap to him in person (Not saying he hasn't or won't, just saying him tweeting directly seems a little transparent in what he's trying to do).

If there's really no surgery, that's awesome news!

I still say fuck fiers.

"He hit a guy in the mouth, No. 1" Redmond said. "No. 2, after he hit Reed in the hand, he looks in our dugout, throws his hands up in the air like, 'Hey, why you guys mad?' You just knocked out our best player, hit him in the mouth and then you just hit another guy in the hand. What are we supposed to do? What type of reaction are you thinking that we're going to give you?"

yeah I didn't (and still don't) understand his reaction on the field. He said he was upset because he couldn't understand why Marlins players thought he was intentionally hitting people. I doubt anyone claimed that.

The simple fact that you just beaned a guy in the face and then plunked a batter again on the very next pitch is enough to get the other team on their feet and glaring at you. Like Johnson said, after that the guys probably yelled a few things. (like i dunno "WTF man" or "get your shit together" or something). As the Brewers manager said, he'd be upset too if he were a teammate.

So he could've had a little humility and understood that while the other team probably knows you aren't headhunting, they just saw their superstar go down in a pool of blood so they are on edge to put it lightly. But after hitting THE VERY NEXT BATTER, instead of clamming up he started waving and gesturing to the Marlins dugout like he was daring them or "get outta here" or whatever the hell he was doing responding to them.

I get that it was all emotional, I just don't get that response. But then I'm not a professional athlete and these guys tend to have the ego thing. Humility and decency is just later for the clubhouse after you realize what happened apparently. I mean when you need Carlos Gomez to show you the way you handle that situation (and hey props to him), you're probably doing it wrong.

Pretty sure that's why disco went after him over say braun or aramis.

Fair point. That could've been fun...

Any word on how the Marlins will try to replace Stanton ? I know he can't be replaced, but do they move Jones to the OF where he's played in years past and maybe start Bour at first, recall Jensen etc....?

I can see them moving Jones to the OF, yes

Not gonna lie,

Stanton's Dad must have seen some serious shit in war- he looked calm and collected. Like he was planning his attack on Fiers while no one looked.

He looked as if he was watching a really shitty movie. Not Sharknado Shitty. That's entertaining.

Stanton's Dad was watching Gigli.

His Aunt on the other hand looked like someone showed her what "two girls, one cup" was all about.

I want to fight people on the internet,

and have made Winn Dixie my own personal fight club.....

Your really going to tell me I can't be angry at Fiers?

It was unintentional.. Now his reaction to our dugout, I still don't understand, but things were heated on both sides. Either way, it's all a part of the game.

Had to catch up on all this shit that went down last night...

Just about threw up. The umps turned it from a tragedy into a complete farce. Really relieved to hear that he should heal by next season. But fuck those umpires.

Absolutely! If anyone wants to be angry with someone, be angry with the umps! It got to be ridiculously biased out there.
