Quick Twine update, from what I know:

Someone tweeted the booth about "Do you think Justin Twine will get called up this season?" and Tommy just about lost his mind when he read off Twine's stats in Single-A (think Solano-level production)

Sooo what you're saying is he's a beast and we should promote immediately?

Yes.

Except he doesn't have an elite last name.

"Justin Solano" sounds so much better.

this is what the fish have been doing though.  they win 5 of 6 then they'll lose 4 straight or something then they'll win another 4 of 6 followed by getting swept somewhere...wash..rinse..repeat.    they've been doing this for awhile now.

Speaking of sweeps, what are we at this year and what is the club record for getting swept? Cause I swear we've been swept a lot this year.  At least, it feels that way.

Somebody do my homework for me I dunwanna

I remember Kyle Kaminska's dad used to post here, which I think made us root for him even more to make it.

Looks like that's not happening, though :(

For the record I have no knowledge of them being here but not every family member that's here contacts me to let me know they are here... I assume.   Several have contacted me but shall remain nameless.

These forums ARE read by current players, former players, front office executives, and family members of players. Most of them do not post but have accounts.  A couple have posted but not much and no, I won't say who they are.

The ultimate honey dicking just occurred in this post.

Noooooo

Why would players read the forums? Thought one of the first things professionals get told is to not concern themself with what is being written about them in the media/online?

You got an A in fraud?

yeah fraud and forensic accounting

Yet, they do care.  Heck one former player (Ryan Jorgensen) used to actively post here and even wrote a journal during ST for the site.

I'm actually Scott Olsen's girlfriend.

I'm actually the taser that was used on Scott Olsen.

On this subject, have none of you thought it weird that guys like me and JackRubysDog assume British personas i.e. who would really stay up to 3am to watch the Marlins on a nightly basis. We may actually be on the Marlins 25 man roster...
