May 9, 20179 yr Conley needs to wear a road uniform since he isn't feeling the Marlins Park vibes this year. Carlos Martinez had 4 RBI's and also hit the chopper to Gordon that JT couldn't field where another 2 runs scored.
May 9, 20179 yr I don't know what happened to Conley this year. I never saw him as a #2 type but I did think he could be a good #3 (which would make him the ace at this point). He's just up there throwing with zero control over his pitches at all. That, combined with his drop in velocity makes me wonder when we'll find out he needs TJ or hits the DL for an extended period of time (hey, at least it's likely not a hamstring). He looks truly awful and it's been that way since Spring training this year. I hope it's just an arm slot/mechanics issue that he can get straightened out and soon.

I could have sworn he was gonna be our best starter this season. he's lost like 2-3 mph off his FB from when he was good (first half of last year) kind of predictable collapse for a lefty like him. He's also given up on his change up for some reason (been a terrible pitch for him).

He loses composure fast, his velocity is up and down but mostly down this season (even though he says it's by design), and he walks way too many batters. He needs two or three starts in AAA to maintain velocity and use all his pitches. Leave him there until he learns to stop walking 3-4 a game.

Well that isn't entirely true...they all went from not have jobs, the bullpen, and 4/5 starters...to having having jobs, being starters, and being 1/2's. He should stick. That guy is a genius!
