November 29, 20214 yr Nice to see Marlins picking on the cheap clubs for a change. Would have been better to get Reynolds as well, but beggars cant be choosers. Cost doesnt matter, had to happen, even if Stallings is a bit older.
November 29, 20214 yr I get the feeling that we are going to overpay in prospects for a 31 year old slightly above average catcher.

November 29, 20214 yr Yea not really a fan of this one, because I think the prospect haul is going to hurt.

November 29, 20214 yr hopefully since it's 3 players it's quantity and not quality we're packaging....

November 29, 20214 yr Zach Thompson and two prospects. Jacob Stallings is the best defensive catcher in baseball and about twice as good on offense as anyone we've seen catch a Marlins game in years.
November 29, 20214 yr Cost really doesnt matter in terms of players given up. Marlins werent/arent going to spend big financially for a catcher (seen last winter) so you have to pay with prospects, which Marlins have a lot of, especially pitching ones.
