Zach Thompson is a so what, who cares guy you give up any day to get a Stallings.

Ah damn, Nicolas was really the only one that hurts a bit but definitely could have been worse and it needed to be done. Good trade all in all

He is a FANTASTIC defensive catcher, which is what this young pitching staff desperately needs. 

They gave up nothing! Lololol

I like Thompson, but yeah; I'm fine giving him up given the amount of pitching depth this organization has.

Good defense, handles the pitching staff, potential to hit well... in other words he's more of a starter than Alfaro. He's not a superstar but he makes us better now.

Connor Scott too but ah well.  

Stallings is super defensively, like among the elite.  Nothing special on offense but he's at least average which is an upgrade for us.

I hope we get a tweet from Mish telling us there's more to come

Thank God I was wrong.  LMAO I guess I still have PTSD from the Loria era.  

Stallings will hit in the .240s probably and that is just fine for all else he brings to the table.  Put him in the 8 hole and let him catch 120-130 games next year.
