J'Daniel deserved better.

Good work from the bullpen today, I'll give them that.

Soler shifting in left center costs another run.

Cooper's footwork and Jesus' CF adventures cost another.

Offense no hit with RISP again. 😞

Ah well.

Jazz needs to leadoff every day for the rest of his life

Another 1 run loss, offense failing to deliver.... feels like last year

Idk man, 90 year old Jazz may not be an asset

Don's too fucking stupid to make adjustments

Why? Soler was on base like 4 times today.

Tough draw opening series. Take both from Anaheim please

I know but I'm old fashioned and want that giant human further down in lineup and Jazz getting as many ABs as possible

I honestly learned nothing from this series that I didn’t know already.

Perhaps my biggest takeaway is that JP Arencibia is bad.

I want Jazz and a swap of Wendle/Rojas at top of lineup every day. Let our giants who swing for the fences every time bat after that

Still much better than Todd

Game 1 - After a promising start by Stallings and Jazz, the offense failed to score in extras with a runner on 2nd starting off the 10th...  LOB - 8

Game 2 - Squeaked 2 runs in a 1 run win - 1 run was from a strike 3 swinging (Sanchez with an RBI hit)... LOB 6

Game 3 - Many chances to score; only 2 runs on a Sac and a HBP ... LOB - 8

22 LOB already after 3 games

Soler at least starting to wake up...  Aggy, Garcia struggling mightily (yeah, i know - only 3 games)

And so far in this young season, Marlins are 24th out of 30 in Slugging (Somehow ahead of the Dodgers 😮 )

Early season positives

I'd feel pretty good if Elieser and Luzardo come out balling the next two days. Trade for reynolds

This lineup is the same piece of shit lineup they’ve been trotting out there for three seasons. Might be a couple of new names but it’s still same same lowly level of production and strikeouts. With no consistently reliable on-base threats.   The pitching is good enough, but the hitting needs 2-3 new faces that actually get on base and drive in runs in the clutch.

Just hope Ng desperate wants a CF now.

A bad start means they suddenly have an excuse to not get a CF. That's the flip side to this.

Not crispy. Some positives overall but should have definitely won 2 games.

They had several chances to win today.

Yep. I want to say about 80% of us have been saying this. They literally spent nearly 30mil this year for two more guys who have the exact same skill set as the rest of the lineup. Ng sux for those signings and for not trading for a CF.

Good : Soler, Jazz

Suck : Aguilar, Garcia, Sanchez

I actually enjoyed the banter between JP and Paul. The team I’m still undecided on. How we react to injuries, the manager and  the lineup is going to be a big deciding factor especially after the cluster that was last season

Trade for Reynolds. Joking aside, I believe this team would acquire one of Reynolds/ Laureano.

I enjoyed listening to JP.  His knowledge of the game as a catcher is very insightful.  Much better than Holly, and I can actually tell him apart from Paul.  He's no Rich Waltz but he's also just learning how to do this job.

Of course we can think it's not bad to lose two one-run game in the opening series, but everybody knows good teams win the one -run game and bad teams lose the one -run game.
