I really hope the team rallys around Jazz and tells "journalist's" to go fly a kite. Jazz doesn't deserve to be dragged through the mud like this. He's the one fucking player that's actually fun to watch. Also, after reading everything over the last couple of days, I had to give props to Don for holding the meeting to clear the air instead of letting people continue to talk behind Jazz's back. However, I think he made a mistake by going to the media with it. He could have just said that he called a team meeting because we're playing like shit and left it at that. No one would have doubted him. Instead, he came out, was really vague about what and who it was about, and it was like throwing blood in the water for these reporters. If you have a problem with someone's dress style, attitude, etc., talk to them yourself... Cooper's response to the meeting (something along the lines of, we didn't need it) makes me feel like he was one of the shit-talkers. Once context is applied, of course it's not actually that - thus journalists really need to do a better job in conveying their shorter messages.

Comparing Jazz to Dennis Rodman alone means nothing. To me, Rodman is an eccentric, burnt out dude (who may actually be a high IQ CIA spy in disguise). I don't know what this has to do with him being black, unless one believes that those are characteristics of being black. Truly I can't explain it because it's not something I have experienced, but I think it's in the vein of, "just cause he's a black athlete doesn't mean he has to immediately be compared to another black athlete" - that's ... maybe it. I don't know for sure.

If that’s the basis for comparison then has nothing to do with race. It’s literally hair.
June 10, 20224 yr "The Worm" was, is, and will always be my favorite nickname for a player in any sport. I highly doubt that will ever be topped. Rodman was a fierce competitor on the court and completely unselfish (he wasn't the worst shooter either). No, I wasn't a fan of any of the teams he played on during his tenure but I thought he was a fantastic player.

I wonder if he was involved I took it completely the opposite and thought it was meant it was like 2 or 3 guys max that took offense and it should have been handled in Don's office between them. Cooper strikes me as a guy who just comes in, does his job, and goes home guy. Not really someone who pays a lot of attention to other guys - also evidenced by his lack of enthusiasm for the steer the boat or car bit when he gets on base.

June 10, 20224 yr Why is Jazz even being discussed? No1 but the players knows what took place in the meeting. It's easy to make up crap and put Jazz in the middle of it because it's "spicy". Chances are it's all made up for media attention.

Stallings strikes me very much like a Cooper type personality in that he comes in, does his job, and heads home. Would be hilarious if it's big money Avisail who's grousing about how Jazz carries himself. Really don't have the slightest clue who would really care THAT much to make it into a thing. Wendle? He's been out seemingly on the IL for at least 1/3 of the season already though so I don't think he was even at the park when the meeting took place. Soler loafs on the field as-is so it had better not be him (not that I could do anything about it anyway haha). Maybe Jazz drilled Tom Koehler's wife?
